One of the architectural marvels, this place offers divinity which is one of its kind. The best thing is that waves keep coming onto the architectural marvel and one can experience divinity in the fresh breeze just next to the sea

It is one of the finest and great architectures built by Indians. The temple is believed to be carved out of a single rock and the carvings on the temple walls and statues are magnificent.

Temple constructed on sea shore

It's really wonder. The temple constructed on sea shore around 700AC, still it looks like constructed 20 or 30 years back. The architecture was very nice. The beach near temple was quite good to swim and not at all dangerous. Even we can go up to 40 metres in water.

The Oldest Temple

The spectacular Shore Temple, perched dramatically on a promontory by the sea. This Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and it was built by Mamalla, while two Lord Shiva's shrines were added later. The temple has low boundary walls, with rows of Nandis seated. Inside reclining Lord Vishnu, a 16 faced polished lungs and relief of Somaskanda a composite form of Lord Shiva with his consort, Parvati, and sons Amanda and Ganesha. This Temple is the oldest Temple and has attraction not for devotees but for tourists also.
