Ballaleshwar Ashtavinayak Pali

Looking for a 6 hour getaway from Mumbai? Ashtavinayak temple at Pali is at a distance of 75 kms feom Navi Mumbai. Take Mumbai Pune Expressway and get down after crossing toll. Plaza. Take a you turn towards Imagica theme park and proceed to Pali. It is a two hour journey, mainly due to the bad roads. To he fair, the roads are under construction and maybe they will get completed in a year from now. Mountains on either side provide a beautiful view during the drive. Best season is immediately after monsoons, when there is a lot of greenery. Pali is a small. Town known mainly due to the temple There is a free parking lot near the temple. We had gone there on a Saturday and there were few people in the temple. We had darshan of Ballaleshwar Ganpati to our satisfaction and then proceeded back. The time spent there is not more than an hour unless you wish to attend the Aarti at 5 pm. There are some shops on the walk to temple and while returning we took some Kokam which is available all around . . By the time we returned it was lunch time and we decided to have food at some roadside dhaba. Before Durshet there is a eatery named Landmark, where we had a thali and a " Thalipeeth". Do try out this place if you happen to visit Pali.

Serene and peaceful place to visit

This temple is one of the eight Ashtavinayak temples. It's very peaceful and calm when we visit the temple. The Ganpati Bappa idol is 'Swayambhu' meaning Self-originated.

One of the Ashtavinayak.

Religious place if you love/praise Ganpati bappa. Road conditions are not good once you leave the express highway. Nothing to see apart for temples and mountains beside it.
