Great feeling

Its better that you do your Darshan booking online before landing at the temple. Its so easy. Or you may end up paying to touts for the Darshan. You can however get a VIP pass at 200 that shortens your wait. Its a bot crowded and lot disorganised .. So be ready for a long haul

Awesome place to visit

This is the place for peace. For free darshan there will be a big Queue, VIP darshan will finish in 20 minutes. For free darshan you have to walk a lot. Morning aarti and Evening aarti is mind blowing, once at least should see that. Baba statue looks amazing after pooja. They doesn't let you stand, we should keep moving. In temple surrounding you will find lot of shops to buy things. It's a Baba samadhi below the statue. It's said that Baba sat there before his death. This place is amazing to visit.

Nice place to visit by senior citizens

Excellent privilege to senior citizens. Delightful free prasadam and vibhuthi. Subsidy supply of mineral water, biscuits, tea and coffee. Good environment in the temple premises. While the pilgrims and devotees are in the q line, continuous sai namam should be played in the audio in low voice. No recommendations should be accepted just like in chilkur balaji temple. A sai devotee...

New system to reduce Darshan time

Everyday hundreds of thousands devotees visit Sai Baba Temple and hence it is always crowded. The time required for darshan varies depending upon the number of devotees present at any instant. Previously devotees were required to wail in a darshan queue for 3 to 4 hours during peak hours. Recently new bio metric system is launched by the Sai Baba Sanshtan (trust) to reduce waiting in darshan queue. Now every devotee needs to take bio metric pass (which is free of cost). The time slot and gate number from where devotee should enter is printed on the bio metric pass. Thus devotee need not wait in queue for hours together, instead he/she should go to the mentioned entry gate at the time slot given on the pass. Bio metric pass can be obtained from many locations including near PRO office and from different bhaktaniwas (viz. Sai Asram).Note that for senior citizens, pregnant women, women with small kid (age below 1 year) and differently disabled devotees, can directly enter from gate no. 3 to obtain bio metric pass. My parents (being senior citizens) could get darshan in 15 minutes after entering from gate no. 3.

Temple with good online booking facs

Booked for shej Aarathi 2 days before and went on a last minute tour, booking tactual tickets and last minute hotel booking. As we reached on Thursday, and pournima, it is quite auspicious ..We stayed in nearby hotel and visited shani singnapur during the day time. After dinner, we reached at 9 30 pm to the temple and there were roomful of people. There were 50 VIP members and queues were full .. We could not watch Aarathi clearly due to large crowds, especially kids. After Aarathi, we had darshan but other facilities are closed by that time.I went for a free darshan in the afternoon at 3:45 .. I could finish darshan by 4:30 .. But laddoo queue took another 45 min.Next morning, we took a taxi to visit triambakeshwar and Nasik and leave home.

New Procedures in Shirdi for Darshan

Please note there is a new system for Sai Baba darshan. One has to take pass from PRO office which is in the white building near gate no 1. Please carry a photo I'd with you. You can join the line for darshan as mentioned on your pass. Again as usual the system is not proper please be ready for unwanted surprises

Good religious place but beware of literate inhuman in the queues

Shirdi Sai Baba temple is visited by many of their followers, the temple is big, people wait for hours for their darshan. However one can do the darshan for a short while.Still that small glimpse rather darshan is enough for devotees for finding peace. Since photography inside temple is not allowed I can only explain the beauty of Sai Baba's idol sitting in glittering gold colored temple. The view is worth the wait. However the police and guards won't let you stand for more than 5 seconds. Further people will push you like hell.I don't understand this, at such holy place people cheat, misguide and skip line to do darshan, what is the use then. I have seen literate people doing this. Why can't they simply stand and wait for their turn, just by pushing us they cannot get darshan early. Standing in queue with such literate inhuman is a real pain.
