Awesome feeling inside

Visited in January this year.. It's located in Panchvati.. The five vatila trees are located just outside.. Lord Rama and Sita stayed here during Vanvas and the cave was built to hide from Ravan.. The cave has very narrow openings and hence moving around in the cave is tough.. You would need to push your leg first and then the rest of the body in certain areas.. Idols of Lord Rama and Sita can be seen inside.. Overall a unique experience.. Sita haran steal is located just opposite to this cave..

A place where Goddess Sita stayed

This is the place where Goddess Sita, wife of lord Ram stayed during their forest staying period which was 14 years. Small cave is there. It's very famous place in Nashik. Near to Kalaram temple.

Must visit

This is a very old ancient Sitaram temple situated on the bank of river Godavari. Nice historical & old bunch of 9 temples. Must visit after going to Trimbakeshwar temple. Total time required to visit all temples is 5 hours.

Excellent place

Good place as per religious is concerned. It's good for Dharmic people who want to visit a silent place. It's a pleasant place to stay and visited over there so it's nice to visit with my friends and my family people visited over there.

Worth visiting once

At this place senior citizens, people with big waist line(obese, overweight), people with Asthma or respiratory problems are not advised to go here because we had to crawl inside on our knees to reach there and it is very small sized cave. Could not take photos because limited space inside and we had to move on.

Small but beautiful cave

Very nice Cave in the heart of the city. As usual the cave is very narrow but very interesting. There is statue of Lord Rama inside the small cave which is very beautiful.

Not so attractive but good to visit

Though the place was not so attractive from externally, I enjoyed kneeling down and crawling through the narrow and short entrances. The experience was fabulous to feel to be in a place where the epic heroine of yesteryears lived for a while. The fantastic experience of worshipping the deities made me goose fleshing.

Sita Gufaa - One should visit to know Ramanya mythology

Visit the temple during day time since evenings are rush. To see things clearly visit in the morning hours. Take care of the small kids since the caves are narrow.Road is narrow but worth watching to know about Ramanya spots. Sita with her Husband Ram and Laxman stayed for long years during their exile. So don't forget to miss.

Story - Sita Devi hid herself from Demons here

This is just beside Kalaram Temple and is a nice visit. There are Rama, Sita and Laxman idols and an ancient Shiva Linga inside the cave. There is a Laxman Rekha here (held by municipality) - I couldn't verify but people said it's the one. If you're too obese, don't go inside as you'll find it hard to fit in the narrow cave paths.

Beautiful temple with caves

The Sita Gufaa is worth seeing in Nasik. Although it took around one hour in the line but it is worth seeing. The Gufaa is well-ventilated inside. Initially we feared how will we enter such a narrow Gufa, but it was not so difficult.
