Sivaram Wildlife Sanctuary, which is located on the banks of Godavari River, is famous for fresh water flora and fauna. This sanctuary was established in 1987 and is spread over an area of 36.29 sq. km. The sanctuary has deciduous vegetation that comprises timan, kodsha, gumpena, teak, terminalias and various other thorny shrubs.

The sanctuary also provides shelter to animals like panther, tiger, rhesus monkey, wild boar, sambhar, langur, sloth bear, cheetal, python, chausingha and nilgai. Sivaram Wildlife Sanctuary is also a home to crocodiles that are found in the river Godavari.
