Awesome

Temple was very good and the statue of Lord Rama in lying form was so attractive and the best part that you can not see entire statue in one shot. You will get the darshan in three different door. Traditional dance In the corridor is also awesome.

Trivandrum is a city that is a mystifying blend of diversities with idyllic beaches on one side, and serene hills mesmerizing lakes on other side. It is also known for various famous historic monuments and religious centers. Altogether a clean and green city that will make you wish to visit again.

I like to share with you because it is the temple of tradition... Like he wear dhoti and she wear sari... It is compulsory to wear traditional dress... No entry if you don't wear.

Sri Padmanabha Temple

Holy abode of Lord Padmanabha Sway in sleeping position with his right hand touching a shiva lingam, which clearly makes us realise there is no difference between the two lord shiva and lord vishnu and so we're also supposed not to show any difference either. Lord is gives darshan from three doors first the face second the waist nabi wit kamalam of bramha raising and finally the third Holy feet of lord Padmanabha swamy with Lakshmi devi at his feet and We can also see sapta rishis worshipping the lord. There are also temples of lord vinayaka, narasimha swamy and krishna in the shrine. Worth a visit in a lifetime.

God Living

The temple is built in an intricate fusion of the indigenous Kerala style and the Dravidian style (kovil) of architecture associated with the temples located in the neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu, featuring high walls, and a 16th-century Gopuram.

Very sacred place. Great feeling seeing the father of all, creator of universe.Temple environment is very clean. Temple staff are quiet gentle behaved, as well as the bhaktas. Quietness is maintained in the premises by all. Temple management maintain cloak rooms for the convenience of bhaktas to keep their belongings which is very helpful. Cloakroom staff are courteous. Even though the sacred temple is located in the centre of city, the atmosphere in and around it quite peaceful and not disturbed by the buzz around from commercial activity. We feel extremely blessed to have darshan of our/everybody's father. God willing, may be I'd have darshan once more in future.

Richest temple matching reputation

Considered as the richest Hindu temple in the world, it is a must on the bucket list of every Hindu. Located in the centre of Trivandrum, the temple can be entered through any of the four gates - East, west, South and North. SO one can stay in a hotel near any of the entrances. The temple is open from 3:30 am and the darshan timings can be found on the website. Early morning Darshan with abhishekam is the least crowded. The temple is large and involves a lot of walking, of course barefoot. A little problematic for diabetics and elderly people. The temple inside is very clean and less chances of stepping on anything that may hurt the foot. Strict dress code of only the lower half covered for men, and sarees for women. The temple is extremely well managed and the priests very efficient and cooperative.Do not miss the magnificence of the architecture. The main deity can be seen only through three doors, in parts, so it is useful if you see a picture of the Lord before entering the temple. It helps in imaging the full 18 foot wonder.

Very old temple. Must see. Nobody can estimate age of the temple. One should visit this temple at least once in their life time irrespective of religion they follow. One should read the history of temple in the temple website and then visit the temple

Simple temple, no hype

Given the hype that was created around the temple, I was expecting it to be super crowded; long queues, etc. You wouldn't find any hype like Tirupati here. The temple is so simple with typical Kerala style wooden work & you would never think the deity here has so much wealth.Dress code: Keralites are very particular about it. Respect the law of the land/culture of the place and adhere to it without creating a scene.
