Temple principles don't value others time

This is the No God Temple. Only a money making business adapting strategies from Tirupati balaji temple. Authorities just make people wait in waiting room for 3 hrs even there's no crowd .. This makes people to buy ticket of rs. 250 compulsory for quick darshana. I wasted my time traveling to this spot Do not visit this money making business and arrogant people to loose your peace of mind.Instead I would suggest to visit Vellore Fort temple ... One feels rejuvenating and peace of mindThis trust don't value visiting pilgrimers timeThey mean business

Enchanting Goddess

Before visiting the temple I went through a lot of reviews which were positive and negative about the place. But from first hand experience I loved the place, both for its aesthetics and more so for its deity. The Goddess in the sanctum sanctorium brought tears of joy to my eyes. I was enthralled by the vibrations I felt as I looked into the face of Mother Lakshmi. Only in a few places of worship have I felt this, and this one such. Even if you pay a few hundreds for special darshan, it is worth it as you can get to watch the Mother from close proximity for sometime.

Sripuram Golden Temple

Excellent place to visit in Vellore. Temple administration is good. You can find clean and pleasant atmosphere. Darshan time required in normal days is less than an hour. Overall very peaceful. Buses available from city centre. People can take direct bus from Tirupati to Vellore for average 120 Rs. Journey time is approximately 3. 5 hours.

Temple with lavish gardens

Went this week from Tirumala by taxi. Took about 3 hours. Entry is free but they told me that it will take about 2 hours. If you pay Rs. 250 pp, you can finish in 45 minutes. It is a star shaped peripheral building through which you have to walk. The guard allowed us to go in reverse direction to cut short the walk. The special ticket allowed us to sit in front of Goddess for 5 minutes only (others will walk through)and a Harathi and a pack of sweet and a picture in a bag. The temple is good in middle of a huge garden and worth a visit. Rooms are available for rent for overnight stay. Need to pay for storage of cell phones !!. Pooja rates appeared expensive.

Beautiful temple with good decorations

Being the no 2 golden temple in india, it worths visiting it. Most of the pilgrims are coming to Vellore after visiting thirumala Tirupati. Worshiping lord narayani after lord narayana is always special.

A must visit albeit with covered legs

We visited this temple, located 5 km from Vellore. Take a shared auto for 20 pax. Try to reach there by 6pm, so that you can enjoy the gardens, as well as the lighting effects when it starts to get dark. You hafta submit your Mobile, camera, shoes, etc before entering. BEWARE to wear clothes that cover your legs completely. Or you will hafta rent up a dhoti at 30 pax. You will require 1. 5-2 hrs inc travel to visit the place. Take a shared auto on the way back.PS: Mr. Karthik, who was the main person there, didn't allow me to carry my Mobile with me, even though I told him that I have to be continuously on call(I am a doctor). He bluntly refused under the pretext of SECURITY reasons. There are certain circumstances where you will have to bend some rules, given the genuineness of the conditions.

Amazing architect and greenery around

The architecture of this huge temple is amazing. The structure is in a shape of star and in the middle is the real Golden Temple. There is a pleasant greenery all around, on the way out free food is provided, and its finger licking.

A beautiful temple

The Sripuram temple or the Golden Temple is about 10 km from the city bus stand. Call taxi and autos are available to go to the temple. I would suggest that one should visit the temple in the evening hours so that temple can be seen fully illuminated which is a beautiful sight. To reach the main temple one has to walk about 1. 5 km along the star shaped path ways with beautifully landscaped gardens on either side. The boards on the side of the pathway conveys very nice message in many languages. There is a free darshan and seva darshan entry. One has to leave bags, cameras, mobiles at the entrance since no photography is allowed inside the temple.Since we took seva darshan tickets we could reach the main temple quite fast and the darshan of Sree Lakshmi Narayana was very comfortable. We had reached just on time when the temple was illuminated which was a beautiful sight. After darshan while coming out we were also allowed to perform abhishekam of Sree Lakshmi Narayani since we had taken the seva ticket. On the way back, there are many counters selling prasadam which the devotees can buy.Just opposite to this temple, you can see the old temple which has Swayambhu Devi and the new one is constructed later. Locals suggested that we should visit the old temple also for completing the prayers. This is a must visit for people visiting Vellore.
