History - Unique and Insightful

INS KURSURA Submarine Museum is located at R.K. Beach. One can easily reach the museum by buses or auto. INS KURSURA was decommissioned from Indian Navy in 2001 and then govt. Decided to keep it as a museum. After entering into the submarine some people may feel suffocation as it is very narrow inside. The guide inside the museum will tell about the history and parts of the submarine. One can easily realize that it's very difficult to survive inside the submarine and will feel proud of our soldiers who remain inside the submarine for months, to protect us and our nation.

Exciting for few minutes

One time visit with kids is okay but not much there to enjoy. One advantage is it is just besides are K beach. INS Kursura was used during 1971 Indo-Pakistan war.

Only Submarine Museum in Asia

In one word - inspiring. This visit is must with young kids - so that they can get inspired with this technological marvel. How the structure has multiple equipment and instruments - which our soldiers use to protect the country. The staff is friendly and patiently explains all the questions.Wish we have similar museums to show and tell more.

Mesmerized

It is a very good place to visit if you are interested in how things work. It perfectly shows how a submarine works and I was very glad to see a submarine that was once in service with the Indian Navy.

Very good experience

"kurusura" is the name of the "submarine which will be spotted in the beach of the vizag city". The entry ticket is just nominal only and it is just 30/- per person. And the specialities in here the submarine is the" plastic statues of dock workers here as to resemble to show how they work submarine is awesome". And another interesting fact about this submarine is that it also participated in the war which held between "Pak-India" and played a "key role at that time". In here the "technical equipment is also real with real rocket launchers". I recommend every one to visit this "historical, technical spirit of india" especially with kids to have good scientific experience to your kids. Enjoy the entry in to the submarine folks.

Good museum to know the history of Indo-Pak war

This submarine was normally called with a name "Kursura". The speciality other than submarine is that it "participated in the World War 2" and in "Indo-Pak war" with Pakistan on Jammu and Kashmir issue and won the battle then when it became "old it was with cranes and other machines lifted to the sea shore" in 1987. The entry ticket is just 40/-. And there will be plastic statue bodies of men to make us feel the reality of how they work in submarine. It is a great experience to enter into a submarine.

Real huge Submarine with nominal entry fee

We visited this Submarine on Pongal and felt very amazed to view the real huge Submarine before our eye. The entry is nominal and only 30/- each. When entered into it we can see their "real 550kg each "Rocket bombs", "technical rooms", and the main amazing is that 120 members will travel in that but there will be only "two rest rooms and two toilets for the navigators inside" overall must see place in Vizag.

Beautiful Submarine Museum

Excellently maintained museum in a real submarine. Good guides inside with explanations in Hindi, English and Telugu. A must visit for all to have a close look at the tough and hard life of a sailor on the seas in a submarine.
