Sun Set Point Overview

Ranked 4 of 36 sightseeing in Mount Abu

Sunset Point lies to the southwest of the Nakki Lake behind the dense forest of the Aravalli Range. This point is known for offering a beautiful view of the entire mountain valley along with the Nakki Lake. Due to its location, the temperature at this point is very low, which provides retreat during the summer season. Honeymoon Point is also situated very close to this Sunset Point and is known for its food stalls and souvenir shops.

The viewpoint also has few food stalls and souvenir shops that sell trinkets, wooden idols, toys, knick knacks and snack items. From Sunset Point, tourists can also go to Baylay's Walk, which is just 5 km by road.

Good place to visit

Very good place & good one to pass the time with family during evening. However you have to go little early as during evening there is too much rush & hence too much dust on road.During sunset it looks very nice.

Heavily crowded during sunset

It's a small piece of mountain top from where you can see the sun going down. At sunset it becomes too crowded, because almost every tourist makes his way to this place. Photographers are available on the spot who'll click pictures of yours for this loving memory.

Best place for nature lovers

This place in Mount Abu is awesome. The place is the best for the nature lovers. The place is located among best of the scenic corner of Mount Abu. The trees and the breeze is a potion of soul to them. People come here to capture the sunset in their cameras. But some of them experience quite a different and lovely nature's bliss.

An overrated and also over-crowded place

I was very excited to go to this place, because of how famous it was and because more than half the town was flocking there in the evening. You have to walk uphill for a good amount of distance to reach at a place from where you can spot the setting sun. Also there is no definite amount of time for which you might have to wait. Apart from this, you also have to deal which a huge crowd, it's still okay while you're walking, but on reaching the top, you might have to struggle to find a place to sit or even stand in case you're in a group. Vendors keep coming with food items, charging a little higher than the usual price of item, since people have no other option but to buy things from them in case they are hungry. The sunset view is also not all that great, in fact I have seen better sunsets in cities and towns. And once the sun goes down, you'll find yourself being trampled by the crowd because everyone wants to go down all together, all at once!Overall, I really didn't like the place and the atmosphere either. I did rather suggest a visit to the honeymoon point across the Nakki Lake.

Awesome view

You can relax yourself by watching this lovely scenery called 'sunset'. You have to come here before a hour of sunset time, so you can take your seat at top. But worth it.

An unforgettable moment

The Sun Set Point is located about 1 km uphill from the lake. One can walk the distance or take small rickshaws to reach the place.Considering the number of viewers, I think the place needs to be revamped by proving seating arrangements at different heights, erecting strong railings by the hillsides etc.The sunset, however, is one of the best, I have ever seen and can easily be compared with that of Dhupgarh at Panchmari in MP.

Nice view but too crowded place

Though the view that you will get is amazing, but it is too crowded and if you get a nice view you will have a nice time. Due, to heavy rush it's dirty and little chaotic as your vehicle might get struck even before you reach there, you will have to walk and after sunset you will have to walk back to vehicle and also heavy jam awaits you afterwards.

Unforgettable experience

People visiting Mt. Abu must not miss this spot. This spot about a kilometre uphill, from where the sunset is to be witnessed. This is one of the best sunset I have seen, compared to so many other places. This is a must-visit place.
