Me and my wife visited for our third anniversary to swastha homestay. Easy to reach there. Clean and well maintained place with good hospitality. Food is good with typical local taste. Swimming pool is well maintained. Excellent view from room. Totally safe for a family. Limitations as, non-veg food is brought from outside with only chicken is served. Other activities are limited compared to other homestays. Overall very good place to spend your weekend with family away from crowd.
We wanted a calm stay which is hygienic and far from crowd. Always jungle was boring and hence wanted to stay in a Estate. So we chose Swastha Home stay which is in Coffee Estate The rooms were clean, but swimming pool isn't. The food was good & tasty, but there were no much choices. The first day we could relax in the open space & camp fire in the evening with some loud music which was enjoyable. However, they gave some salads, bajji, kadale Puri & kosumbari as sides for that camp fire. The homestay is pure vegetarian cooking & cooked non-veg has to be brought from outside. They had promised 2 non-veg dishes, but gave only chicken curry for dinner. The dinner was authentic local taste & was good. They were very cunning by providing cost effective snacks Next day morning there was a walk through their coffee estate swimming pool & no other activities. The breakfast & lunch was very tasty & again local Malnad taste. We got bored and left the place early If you need non-veg food, if you need any activities like games, billiards, rope walk, slides, children activity, then this is not the place for you. Only lazy people would like this place just to relax.
Swastha Homestay location is very good. Place is super with nature view. Food is tasty and homely hygienic. Beautiful sightseeings. We had a wonderful experience there. We enjoyed our holiday trip a lot. Finally we had an memorable and good experience there and it will tempt to visit again there.
I had been there Jungle retreat with friends. The hotel is well located and no difficulty in reaching the hotel the surrounding of the hotel. The internal and external appearance of the hotel is nice. The staffs were cooperative and in quick response. There was no delay in check in and check out process. The room provided was clean with amenities in good condition. I ate food in the hotel was good but limited varieties. The hotel organise activities in the hotel. I will recommend this hotel to other traveller.
It was near the bus stand. There was no problem in locating the homestay. The surrounding was neat, clean and well maintained. Service was good. Staff were friendly, helpful and hygienic and were quick and responsive. Rooms were spacious, neat, There were antiques. AC, Geyser etc. Were in working condition. There was a small canal from the room. Hotel was having a swimming pool and we can spend time. Food was available in the homestay and it was good. There was no issue with check in and check out. I was happy with the stay. There are no suggestions. Overall experience was pretty good. They arranged for sightseeing. It was value for money and would recommend to other travellers.
The home stay is located in Sakleshpur. The stay was excellent. The staff were very friendly. The accommodation was clean and neat. It is ideally suited for families and groups. Its distance from Bangalore makes it an ideal weekend getaway. Those who enjoy and can handle rains, please visit this place during monsoons.
We stayed at Swastha Homestay for 2 days in the last week of May 2014. We were 10 adults and 2 kids (including 1 infant). We have stayed at few home stays in other locations and compared to the quality we have experienced there, Swastha was a letdown . . Positives:. A) The farm around the house is nicely maintained and there are a lot of fruit bearing trees. The walk in the morning is very refreshing. Be) The owner of the place is an elderly gentleman who is on the job all the time. He tries to make things easier (to the best of his ability) . C) The staff is okay, but certainly needs grooming. To be worked up on:. A) Lot of mosquitoes and the staff do very little to assist. Be) Place is not very hygienic. The design of the bathrooms in the rooms is very peculiar (the partition between the room and the bathroom is not till the ceiling and it can be very embarrassing / messy when someone is using the loo). C) Stay away from the pool. Couple of us had some kind of rashes after using it. The) Service was very slow and pathetic at times. In 1 instance, we had to wait for 45 min at 8 pm in the night waiting for the staff to get us plain rice (to feed the infant) e) Though we had different varieties of food being served, we enjoy as they were spicy. Though we kept on requesting from the first meal to have the "hot" content to be reduced, it have the desired effect completely of) The staff is not adequately trained in housekeeping / service. Though they are decent boys, they were rude in couple of instances (we had decided to stay a day longer as we had done a day trip to Kukke and we wanted to rest, but, had to cut short and cancel the extension after one of the staff - the senior most amongst them - spoke with disrespect and seemed to be aloof). Swastha team, kindly looks at this feedback constructively and make some changes. We have visited few home stays and seen real good quality service (WOW factor). We found that lacking and also some of the basic things are being missed. For 1st time visitors to home stays, Swastha is a good place. For people who have visited the likes of Bananki (near Teerthahalli), getting pleased here is tough Room Tip: there are 2 rooms outside the main building. They seem to be better .
Great place to relax in the lap of mother nature. The beauty of western ghats breathtaking. 5 families stayed in Swastha Homestay for 2 nights. There is lot of activity swimming pool and lot of games and 35 acres of plantation name the plant it is there. Great food, Host and owner Mr. Jayaraj is very friendly, Great food prepared as per your taste. Children need also taken care, Great place for Family outing or Honeymoon couple or weekend getaway. Best homestay in western ghats. I don't find any negative thing. Non veg to be ordered early . .
I stayed there for two days. Food was included in the package. Lots of activities like bonfire, tracking, morning walk, river rafting, etc were available there and they were good. I went there with my family. It was located just on the highway. It was easily accessible. Lake view was seen from the room. It is a big property. Room was very good. Room service and staff service was also very good. Reception people were very nice. Appearance of the hotel was good. Location wise, it was also good. They had ample parking space. Food and drink was good. Veg, non-veg or everything was provided by them. There was no bar. Sakleshpur as a destination is an excellent place to go. It should be accessible easily on website for publicity. There was no problem in booking. WiFi, TV or everything were available in the room. Room was clean and spacious. I visited the place in the month of January. Summer season was better to go there.
It is located in a picturesque surrounding. A perfect getaway into the nature from our busy lives. But it would have been more enjoyable if Swastha could arrange for some recreational activities or games
