Relaxing and Religious Temple

We had fun in the Cauvery River near the temples in Talakad. As it is a flowing river pathway the water was fresh and we had fun like anything. There were shops over there. All the temples were in a 2km radius and it was different experience may be of the climate when we went there. It was not that much scenic though to say. Will be an off beat trip that's it.

Good architecture and the history

This is the place to visit 5 Shiva temples on the same day. Few temples are dug out of sand-dunes. One is under reconstruction, One is in the town itself. Hoysala architecture is seen in these temples. Two temples have prayers also. Better to take a guide and visit the submerged temples. He will also tell the story of a curse by a woman. (Rs.300/group). Except Kannada these guides don't seem to know any other language. One was ready to tell in Hindi. There is a stone chain made of rings which can move freely. There are the Dwarapalakas, Ajay and Vijay. On his chest we can make out a bull. Such architectural marvels are there in the town temple of Vaidheeswara.

I liked the temples

This is a religious place and a very old temple. You can seek peace of mind here. There are lots of temple architecture on the walls of the temple.
