The beach is situated at West Bengal & Odissa border. It is very calm & quite beach. One has take the service of local boat to reach the beach in the time of full tide. The beach is also famous for red crabs which are visible at mid day. Overall the calmness & solitude of the beach is a special attraction for the couple who need privacy.

Talasari is not so much attractive.

The road of talasari is very narrow. It is just a sea mouth of subarnarekha river. But sea beach is so far and too much bad smail of fish. You can stay there not more than half an hour. If you want to visit sea beach area you have to take a boat. But very unprofessional handled tourist place it is which is under Orissa govt.

An ideal winter season destination

The beach is unique in its own way.. The atmosphere is serene and peaceful.. It's been situated along Orissa and Bay of Bengal.. Since it's not popular among mass, it's pretty clean and crowd free.. Small red crabs are speciality of this beach which can easily be seen at every step. The way to reach the beach is a bit complicated.. Moreover it's a backwater beach.. The sea is very calm and quiet in here... The sunset is beautiful.. I visited with my family and enjoyed every bit of it..

Sunset at Talsari

This is the place where you should be there during the Sunset during your Digha Trip. This beach is in Odisha. You should also plan Udaipur Beach in the Bengal-Odisha border on your back to Digha.

A good beach

Talsari is very beautiful sea beach in Orissa just 10 km away from Digha. The talsari beach is popular for its red crabs. The beach is very very beautiful, free from crowd and chaos. Ideal place for a nature lover. We had a good experience there riding bikes. One thing that the place lack is proper transport facility. We had to reserve vehicles with higher rates and that too for a limited time.

Ideal place for a nature lover

The Talsari beach is popular for it's red crabs but the water sometimes recedes far beyond and one needs to walk quite a distance over the uneven sandy soil to reach the main powdery sand beach. Many men nowadays provide 'a motorcycle ride to the red crabs' against a fee. If you do not walk over to the powdery beach then it likely that you would not like the place. But once you reach the main beach it is very very beautiful, free from crowd and chaos. Ideal place for a nature lover!

You will find lots of Red Crabs

As you can guess from the title Talasari is a place where you can find a lot of Red Crabs crawling all around you. It is located at 13-14 km away from Old Digha. There are two ways to reach this awesome place. Firstly you can take a cab/auto rickshaw/toto for hire which takes around 250/- - 300/- to get you there or if you are a nature lover like me you can get up early in the morning and take a hike of 2-3 hrs through the beach. Its an awesome feeling. Once you are there you will find lots of Red Crabs.

An excellent Beach near Digha

I recommend everyone who come to Digha in holidays to visit Talasari Beach for its scenic beauty. The River Subarnarekha meets Bay of Bengal here. The delta formed in between river and sea creates natural beauty. Boats were available for tourists to go in the Delta, and it was an amazing experience.
