Bad experience

2.8/7
Posted 9 Jul, 2018

We had visited this resort last week with friends..which was suggested by some friends..but friends this was the worst experience we have ever had till date..they have provided breakfast..which includes only idli and menduwada..which also was tasteless (what a breakfast.. ) I have never ever had a breakfast like this before this event.. When we have complained for the same..the man (i think his name was rahul) who was sitting on reception told us very rudely that (itna sara item to he..isse jyada hamare vaha breakfast me nahi hota and isse accha breakfast kaha hota he batao) After a fight they provide us two more items poha and aloo paratha in breKfast.. There are so many negative which are yet to describe.. 1. No wifi in premises 2. No rest zone for day picnic members 3. No swimming costumes on rent..first time i have heard for the same.. 4. Very very dirty swimming pool..and the size for the swimming pool was..chota sa.. 5. No rules for swimming costumes..u can enter with underwears..tshirts and any cloths.. 6. No towels were provided in swimming pool.. 7. The taste of lunch was also not upto the mark.. 8. In indoor games there was only carrom..and that also for small childrens.. 9. The madam who is seating in baroda office had told us about so many things..like there is no resort like this in whole gujarat.. Still, there were some positives.. 1. Great forest activities by very good staff like Ranjit and hasmukh.. 2. The atmosphere was awesome..but that's natural..not provided by the resort.. So people please if u want to visit this resort this is on risk with third class food..but if u still want to enjoy nature and adventure activities..please carry some food with u. Hope the management will take some steps to sort out this problem.. I will not refer this resort to anyone..

Worst experience

We were a group of 7 guys out for a Bike Ride to Jambughoda. We had made bookings in advance for 6 people at Rs. 2200 pax towards 1 night stay with lunch, high tea, dinner, and next day's breakfast included in the package. At the time of making advance part payment, we had been informed that we will be allocated a "VILLA. " We thought, a "VILLA" for 6 people is reasonable for the package we had settled on. When a 7th guy decided to join us, we were not too perturbed since 1 - 2 guys could easily be accommodated in a "VILLA. ". We reached around 11 and were asked to pay the remaining amount at the time of checking in, as per the rules of the resort. We paid a total amount of Rs. 15, 400/- for overnight stay for 7 including food. The resort kind of looked lively with lots of young people around dancing to music and enjoying themselves. All our enthusiasm went for a TOSS as soon as we were shown our "VILLA. VILLA - MY FOOT. It was a circular room, about 12 - 13 feet in diameter, with 2 single cots joined together. The management expected 7 of us to cram ourselves into a single room as if we had paid charges for a budget hotel. When we took up the issue at the reception, we were told that we had added a 7th guy at the last moment or else 5-6 people could easily be accommodated without any problem in their "VILLA. " We were also told that they are packed and no other rooms are available. When we demanded refund and threatened to stay at another resort who were willing to charge about Rs. 1600/- per person for the same package, one of the caravans mysteriously got vacant and was offered to us. The caravan room turned out to be cramped one (much smaller than the "VILLA" of course). Coming to my perspective. I would actually call the "VILLA" we stayed in ideal for a young couple or someone on their honeymoon. The Bathroom's Latch was broken (you couldn't close the door). It would have been a delight for a newly married couple ( I guess !! ). Also, the fan's regulator wasn't working. You could turn it on or off, but can't increase/decrease the speed. The caravan had the luxury of an exhaust fan, which was lacking in the VILLA. However, the exhaust fan wasn't working. I HAD MADE IT PRETTY CLEAR TO THE MANAGEMENT JUST AFTER CHECKING IN THAT I WOULD BE LEAVING A "NEGATIVE REMARK" FOR MISLEADING CUSTOMERS. FOOD: Lunch was kind of okay. Can't call it bad, but it didn't match our expectations, especially since the resort charges are exorbitant. High Tea comprised of Tea and a packet of "Khakhra" and a packet of "Biscuits" (naan-khatai). Dinner was a bit better than lunch. The khichadi they served was well made and quite tasty, but the egg curry we had requested to be prepared separately (paid extra) was okay. The next day's breakfast was much, much better when compared to lunch / dinner. FINAL VERDICT: Someone needs to show the meaning of a "VILLA" in a Dictionary to the management. Its kind of totally misleading to a potential customer reserving online or via an agent. There are other resorts within Jambughoda whose charges are much less compared to Caravan Serai Resort. One of them is the Jambughoda Palace which is much less costly and the food is also quite good in comparison (I had visited Jambughoda Palace around 4 or so years back). If you are willing to try other resorts near Vadodara, Riparian in Savli is a very good option. Stayed Once, Had Enough. Will not Try them Again in Future. PERIOD.

When you see the beds and linen bad spots not washed, not even cleaned the rooms, you can easily make out earlier person in that room what nasty thing they did. When you complain about this, they are not least bother. Please don't believe almost false.

Stayed in this hotel in the 3rd week of March. Was travelling further ahead to Agra and stayed here with my family for a night. We had booked two rooms, I believe #110 and 114. Overall, the experience was quite nice. No complains as such. The rooms were nice and comfortable. Staff were kind, polite and cooperative. Food was great and some how the service was super fast. I enjoyed my stay here. Would recommend this place to all those travelling. PS: Its quite reasonably priced so its quite Value for Money too.

Delicious food; no activities

3.6/7
Posted 21 Aug, 2014

I did book it on the spot on my arrival. Pool, gym, Indoor games, outdoor games and other extra activities were available in the hotel. Pick and drop facility was provided by the hotel. Room was well furnished and spacious. All basic amenities were present in the room like AC, bed, hot water, etc. TV was not present in the room. Food was present there with Indian and Gujarati food both of was delicious. Hotel staff was well spoken and cooperative. Hotel was situated outside from the main location. This hotel was little costly. No activities were arranged by the hotel. Jambuwala as a destination is average place for outing. I visited this place in July month with my family for relaxation.

Bad experience; Food quality is bad

1.9/7
Posted 12 May, 2014

What you see in the picture is very deceptive, there is just a ground, a swimming pool, which has a secret slippery slope which you will fall at any cost. If you are in a big group and you have your activities lined up then good, they promise but then don't do any activities, like they could not send a person for trekking we went on our own, the food quality is low 30 people and 4 glass to drinking water of bad quality They have cricket bat, ball, football but that is not the reason we go there. The DJ music is terrible with the speakers. Plus it's out of Jambughoda not in it 10 km away from it, maybe rainy season is good, but at night it's too dark the lights are low and lots of ants and mosquitoes too. They just don't care to upgrade it or do anything. Nice place and surroundings but nothing to do if you just want to slip away from the world its good, even a cold drink cost Rs. 50 here.
