It’s the long weekend and like most weekends I find myself stuck between house chores and attending family functions. Not to mention - the hydra that is the Internet finding its way in, head after head spewing fire, leaving me smoldered with work. I begin to look for the right stimulus to start wrapping up office deadlines too. Life seems to flash by in this daily grind and I think to myself, it’s time for a weekend getaway. Finally, decide to ride off to ‘The Dadhikar Fort.’ A fusion of nature, graceful history of thousand years and the reflection of a typical Rajasthani style of architecture that attitudes elegantly amidst vast mountains. This quaint fort standing strong greets me with its enchanting edifices. The very first view of the front door and main entrance is so captivating and only gets better as I step forward and explore deeper. Most fascinating are the walls of the corridors and common areas. These walls are adorned with depictions of how the fort was originally built, revealing a sneak-peak into a past of opulence and kingly luxury. Dadhikar has wooden furniture that spells lavish like nothing else. They have large spaces to relax and unwind, and if you’re a fan of sunsets and folk music, this is a trip you must make. While it's slightly cut off from civilization, my suggestion is to enjoy the remoteness and the cultural extravaganza that the place is. Don't judge the fort by its size, could be small but will mesmerize you to the very core of your heart. For all those photo enthusiasts, the fort has so many photo clickable spots that you would run out of time on your one nighter outing.
Out of so many getaway locations, I really found this location actually best among all. Simplicity of this place is amazing which lets you be yourself and enjoy your peace of mind. Every room is unique so if you've stayed in one of the room, then you have lot more to discover.
Dadhikar Fort Palace is a very beautiful place hidden in the hills near Alwar. A restful place with excellent staff to look after all your needs. Though our holiday was for relaxation but it turned into an adventure when we saw the forest fire in the forest behind the hotel in the afternoon. The locals and the forest officials with the help of the hotel staff put out the forest fire. Next day we also went up the hills to see it. The Gaza session at the Fort was very good so was the food. We really had a good time at Dadhikar Fort. Planning to return with our friends gang after they start their Swimming pool.
We went there 2-3 times and it is like heaven. Rooms are class. Food is also very good. View from the hotel is awesome. Horse riding also there and many things to do in the night hotel looks like a fort. All kind of facilities are available. But localites can't stay there.
Right in the lap of the nature surrounded by lush green hills!! An amazing place for the weekends and weddings. Crazy roads to drive though. Nearby Bala quila Alwar. Different kind of rooms with amazing facilities, staff being quite cooperative. An ancient representation of ancient art!!
This is an excellent heritage property though very remotely located. We had booked a suite and the rooms were very good. The place provides peace and calmness away from the noise of the city. Its just 3 hours away from Delhi hence no excessive long drives. Meals are good with good variety in Lunch and dinner. This property is well maintained.
The hotel is very remotely located. We had a suite and were very satisfied. The room was clean. We had taken our dinner outside. There was a lack of indirect lighting. You could barely see what was on the plate. The staff was not very attentive. The food itself was not prepared with love. We were disappointed. The water pressure in the bathroom was not very good, but that is not surprising in this position. The next day we had a gorgeous view of the mountain and of the valley. The fort was lovingly built brick by brick by the present owner. The fort gave a clean impression. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Therefore, we would like to come back here and stay as long as we can.
Lost in the middle of nowhere, location is absolute charm surrounded by nature and at the foot of a charming village where people are very welcoming. It's just magical, beautifully restored. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable enough. Each room is unique and the suite is beautiful. We were upgraded and were enjoying a beautiful view of the valley. And also the staff are very attentive and vegetarian food was delicious.
The place provides great surroundings to visitors. It is on height, one can see fields, huts etc from there. Can enjoy natural beauty. Meals are available but the path from the entrance to the main gate was very bad and having steep road. That should be repaired. Other than this we had a nice time. Good place for couples.
This was a last moment holiday plan and it turned out great !! Nice Fort Hotel !! Beautiful surroundings. It doesn't get any quieter than at Dhadikar. It is set in a valley and there are caves nearby. You will wake up to the sounds of peacocks !! Imagine that !! The room had all the facilities and the food was good. There was also an evening performance by Rajasthani folk dancers. Must visit for a short getaway from Delhi !! Though we were lucky due to a last minute cancellation but book in advance.
