A well-maintained temple

I visited this temple with my brother who lives here near the temple. The temple was so good in architecture and the temple is well maintained with "good lightings at evening and in good hygienic way". The god present here is "mariamman" who is local god for the people here and this temple is very crowded during the "Jathara" of this gods. At this time swami will taken a round around the "temple on elephants" as it is here "Acharam". And this festival will be lasted for about 5 days. So I suggest every visitors to visit this place during this time and "have more exoitic experience with the local people too".

Samayapuram Temple - Most busiest temple in Tamil Nadu

Whenever, I reach Trichy, I ensure a visit to Samayapuram Mariamman Temple. It is roughly 16 km from Trichy and can be reached in less than half an hour time. After Palani, it is the most busiest temple in Tamil Nadu. We can expect queue any time, so opt for paid darshan to save time. The deity is very powerful and a prayer here is worth and result oriented. That must be the reason for the large crowd and arrival of the famous personalities including film stars. You can come by bus or taxi. Bus service in night is limited, so take care.

Avoid visiting during festivals to avoid heavy rush

The day I went seemed to be some important festival due to which there was heavy rush. I was told that it will take at least 3-4 hours to complete my trip. Considering that, I dropped the idea of going inside. Instead, I spent about 30 minutes moving around the campus. Before you go, you may check with localities about the suitable time and day to be there so that you do not reach there on a heavy rush day.

Grace of Samaypuram Mariamman.

We visited the temple after a car function. Hence there was not much crowd. We had a very good dhashan. Temple was not well maintained. Travelers must help to keep the Temple clean and neat. Buses are much crowded. Police must help pilgrims to board the Bus.
