Thirupullani - Temple of Lord Vishnu

We started early morning at 7. 30 from Rameshwaram by our taxi for Devipattinam, Uthirakosamangai and Thirupullani as a day trip from Rameshwaram. After a drive of almost 60 kilometre, we reached at Thiruppullani. However it is at a distance of only 11 km from Ramanathapuram. Here we visited Adi Jagannatha Perumal Temple, Thirupullani and got blessed by Lord Jagannath. Rama is believed to have done penance to worship the god of ocean to seek way to Lanka in grass, giving the name Dharba Sayana to the place. Here Lord Vishnu is in sleeping mode on Sheshnag. A nice, big and huge temple of Lord Vishnu.
