Good hotel with nice appearance

Posted 16 Mar, 2017

We went to this place in the month of March for a personal trip. The location of the hotel was very good and it was located in a very large area. It was a good place to visit; the best way to reach the hotel was by car. The appearance of the hotel was good; staff's at the front office were not supportive. The room was very good, spacious and clean and the service was also very good. Outdoor activities like games, trekking were average. The food was average in taste. Other facilities like swimming pool, spa were average. The overall experience was good.

Home away from home

Posted 30 Nov, 2015

My earliest experience with State Tourism sponsored / owned guest house / hotel was always poor. This hotel changed my view completely. Lice lawn, helpful staff, clean room and bathroom and above all food - just homemade. Very comfortable location - we could visit the Temple - morning, evening and whenever we wished. Car Parking was good. It was an awesome experience. I suggest everyone to stay in Toran at Dwarka.

Good rooms, reasonable rates

Posted 11 Sep, 2014

This hotel is owned by Gujarat tourism and room is good having big LCD and other amenities. The main temple is about 1. 5 km away walk able distance. Though outer look is quite simple but rooms with attached bathroom are nice to stay and they also manage breakfast and tea, coffee at reasonable rates.

Good experience at the Toran Tourist Bungalow

Posted 25 Aug, 2014

We visited in the 3rd week of July 2014. The room we had booked was good and spacious at the Toran Tourist Bungalow. There was 24 hours hot water. Power was an issue in Dwarka-gone for 3-4 hours in a day. Unfortunately, there was no DG at the time we were there, but we were told they would be procuring one soon. It is well managed by Mr. Praful who is very soft spoken and courteous. His associate who is in charge of the kitchen is also very courteous and very diligent about time. Morning Tea at 6:30AM meant a knock on the door at 6:30AM with piping hot Tea! About having meals at the Tourist Bungalow - They needed to be informed just before leaving the hotel that Lunch or Dinner would be required for how many members of the group. Rest assured, it would be ready and waiting. Rotis would be made fresh and hot and served to the table. The Tourist Bungalow is a little far from the Dwarkadish temple. Nevertheless, the drive to and fro, either by your own vehicle or by the autos available near the "Circuit House" is a nice experience - Cattle of Saurashtra are a sight to behold :-). They are a little aggressive too so be a little wary. Activities- Aarti at the Temple is an unforgettable experience, so also the boat ride to-an-fro to Beyt Dwarka. The Gomati river-Arabian Sea sangam is breath taking. Only thing is the road along the river and the Sangam could be maintained better, so also the city. All in all, I do recommend that Toran is a nice place to stay with good "Ghar ka Khaana" / home cooked meals .
