This was my holiday trip. I traveled Sakleshpur in the month of August 2016 along with my friends. I booked this hotel through online. I am basically from Bangalore. The location of the hotel was excellent. It was nearby the bus stand. I reached there through the car. The appearance of the hotel was wonderful. The front desk was polite to receive us. The services were well maintained. The staff was good. The room was beautiful. It was neat and clean. The surrounding was very greenery. The food was delicious. I had Non vegetarian The activities were superb. WiFi Swimming pool GYM facilities were available. I suggest this hotel to everyone for the stay. Overall this hotel stay was amusing.
Went their to spend long week end in Jan-2017 with an expectation of serene stay away from city noise. The location of the resort is very good within amongst of forest and hill. Though there is no proper road to reach the resort from Hannibal. However the stretch will give you a feeling of off riding. They have few activities like off roading, trekking etc. Kid's will enjoy the peacock, duck etc they kept within resort. However, regret to mention that the resorts were not maintained well. When we reached they given some dirty room with no fresh linen. Lights are inadequate and in some places the bulbs are missing. Fan doesn't work. Taps in bathroom is broken and note no hot water available in our rooms. Food menu doesn't have any variety and necessarily south Indian cuisine with no choice. Same for breakfast- no variety what's over. Snacks ordered for campfire was not delivered. Overall advise is to avoid this resort if you can ( don't get fooled seeing the website) as Sakleshpur has lot more better option to stay.
Hi, we want to go to place for complete rest. The travel to rugged road ( approx. 8 km) was something need to think about. But once you are in, place will completely mesmerise you. Nice property, surrounded by small hills and complete green. Awesome hospitality and staff are nice. Enjoy the serene place, relax on hammock, trekking to see the admire nature. A starry Barbeque night with family is must.
It was very wonderful experience staying in this resort. Nice place to stay and enjoyed a lot in this place. Trekking was good, food and nature was wonderful. Plan to visit again in monsoon season. If resorts has a swimming pool it will be even great place to enjoy.
Working professionals have to get experience at Tusk and Dawn to have team building workshops, pleasant, no traffic, no vehicle sounds, very good ambient for concentration to perform the given activities. Friends please have a visit when ever possible to get great experience.
It was the time for another short break and we chose this resort on the recommendation of a friend who had stayed here previously. Short drive of around 4 hr from Bangalore and you are there. After reaching Sakleshpur town, do follow the instructions given by the resort and Google maps. There was apparently some error in the location according to Google. There are good roads a little further to Hannibal Village and then you go on a mud track to reach the place. The resort offers pick-up in their vehicle after a certain point The resort provides basic amenities in the room. There was no television or cable here. In fact there were no power cables leading to this place, all power was through a water turbine and a genset. So you have limited hours of power from night 7 onwards. The bathrooms come with an indoor garden which was really pleasant The staff were very courteous and friendly. They take you around the place and if you are interested you can trek up the highest mountain. We tried that and its a wonderful trek through the forests, a small waterfall and then to the peak. It was not at all difficult and my 6 year old son could do it and enjoyed it too. They also take you off-roading, which earlier was a regular affair, now they do it only on request and payment. The food was local Malnad delicacies. But the quantity or the quality of oil used did not suit us well This is an ideal place to relax away from the hustle bustle of the cities.
The overall experience was good. I had gone from my own vehicle. The parking facility was provided. It was located little bit in out cut. The appearance of the hotel like interior and exterior was good. I didn't face any delay in allotting the room. The staff behaviour was good. The rooms were neat and clean. I didn't get any view from the room. The amenities like AC, TV and geyser were provided. They provide buffet system in food. The quality and variety was good. The activity like trekking facility was there. The paid amount was worth. I don't have any suggestion for improvement of the hotel.
Tariff per day was Rs. 2000 including of lunch and dinner. I travelled there by my own vehicle. Hotel was conveniently located. Behaviour of the staff was good there. They gave quick response to all our requests. They had good quality of food. They had lots of outdoor activities. Rooms were spacious, neat and maintained with all the basic amenities. There was no TV in the room. It is an excellent destination to visit. Location wise, it was very good. Appearance wise, it was also very good. There was no issue in check-in and check-out. Booking and front office people were very good. Overall, service was good. Rooms and facilities were very good. Welcome drink was chargeable. Food was good. Activities were very good. It was relax and adventure kind of holiday with my family in August 2014.
The location of the hotel was very good and it was an economic hotel. The service of the staff was very good, friendly, helpful and hygienic. They were quick, attentive and more concern about the guest. The appearance of the hotel from inside and outside was very good. The room given to me was very spacious, neat, clean and well maintained. All the amenities were working well. But they have to increase the number of coats in season time. They provide all variety of food like vegetation, non-vegetation and it was good to taste. There was no problem in check-in and check-out. We didn't experience any activities over there.
We planned for a short trip, away from the pollution and noise of city life. We choose this place as we had received a good positive feedback from our friends. We were a group of four people from the same organisation. This place is four hours away from Bangalore and we reached the place around 11. 00 am. We were greeted with a welcome drink by a very courteous staff along with a very friendly Doberman . . The place is located interiors of Sakleshpur on the Hannibal road and is a scenic beauty. The manager of the homestay told us that in rainy season its a treat to eyes as the place is filled by greenery and definitely away from dust and noise. The rooms were very clean and can accommodate up to three persons in each rooms. The bathrooms were also very clean We were told that there is no electricity in the resort provided by Govt and hence they depend on Hydroelectricity set up by them. In the evening we were taken to water spot (a small falls) which is ten minutes trek next to property. The staff were also willing to put bonfire around 7. 00 pm and dinner was served around 9. 00 pm. Both Veg as well as Non-veg food was served and the cook had mastered the art of cooking as we felt the food was very yummy Next day morning we were taken to a nearby trek by the resort guys and this was a very fascinating place. The breakfast was also very tasty, especially Akki Roti(rice Roti) and some sweets. Overall I would rate this place very high and recommend to both friends and family crowd Things to remember in this place is : No music or TV was available (play your own music or listen from your mobile). Activities wise not much to plan here but good for people who would require a lazy or relaxed outing .
