The Ujjaleswar shrine is located at a distance of 45 km from the city of Berhampur and 19 km from Digapahandi close to Ghodahada Dam.  The shrine has been created out of a cave temple situated on top of a hill. On the backside of this temple, there is a massive stone that shadows the deity, which is chiselled to form steps allowing people to go around the shrine.

On the way to this religious site, Ghodahada Dam known to have sunken the Vijaynagar Fort of the past and its temple can be visited. The water from this reservoir is used for tube rose horticulture farm. The shrine is only 19 km from the State Highways at Digapahandi on the Berhampur- Koraput Road. This temple celebrates the occasions with fervour like Mahashivratri, Sankranti and every Mondays of Kartika month of Hindu calendar.
