I have stayed in Umaid Haveli Hotel for 2 nights during my vacation to Jaipur. This is a beautiful heritage property located in Kukas area which is 10 km outside the main city of Jaipur. Starting from the entrance gate to the beautiful floral & peacock design on the walls in reception area to the life size portraits in the dining hall to beautiful floral designs on the ceiling inside our room - everything is eye catching. The deluxe rooms were spacious with attached bathroom having all modern fittings. The complimentary breakfast had fresh fruits, juices, Indian options, cornflakes, pancakes, live eggs counter etc. Additional perks: - Rooftop dinner with a pleasant view of the city and Aravalli range, arranged free of cost by the hotel - Open pool : Looked clean but were a little hesitant to use, also did not have time to swim after the shopping and sightseeing. - Breakfast: On the house, delicious and fresh! - Spa and gym: Not operational at the time of our stay, so unable to elaborate more Overall: highly recommended, will stay again. Excellent value for money. The staff was always smiling and helpful. The location is very peaceful and close to Amer Fort.
I had travelled to Jaipur to get away from the routine and experience the splendour of the 'Pink City', budgeting was of course important. Though Ummaid quarter cannot be called a budget hotel, but it is certainly 100% value for money. Lovely, peaceful clean and maintained ambience. The staff were cordial and prompt with reservation facilities, room service and travel arrangements. I particularly loved the room, again made up with Maharaja Style, elegant and well equipped. The small Zarokha in the bathroom was at once ingenious ventilation and kind of Romantic The hotel is located right in the heart of the city and travelling around is easy. Though the city itself is now an overgrown modern town with the modern yet unplanned crowding overshadowing the beauty of this historic city, but the palaces and forts are maintained and certainly worth visiting. The only thing that I would have wanted in the hotel was more space to move around the hotel itself. It is tightly packed between other modern structures and that leaves something to be desired in the palatial place. Perhaps a beautiful lawn with wan chairs and canopies would have completed the picture. Food was good and always fresh. If I visit Jaipur again, I would check into Ummaid quarter without a second thought.
Umaid quarter was an excellent stay. We had a better than expected stay. Hotel has nicely done Rajasthani artwork interiors and a grand entrance. The ambience was perfect. Room was done with heritage look and was spacious, comfortable, neat & clean. Dining area was done with beautiful paintings and artwork. It also has a roof top restaurant. The service was swift and staff was supportive. However the food was average and lacked typical Rajasthani taste. There is also a swimming pool but a small one The hotel is located near to bus stand and railway station and if the bookings are done in advance you can get a complimentary pick up from there. Since it is located in middle of city, the views from room are not great The hotel had WiFi and you can avail the service after getting passwords from front desk. The hotel also had travel desk which helped us in arranging for city Tours and guided us about the places of interest. In all total the experience was wonderful staying there and would recommend it to all.
We stayed in Umaid quarter during early December last year. The place is decent but the pics posted on the website give a wrong impression that its a huge property. It's a small hotel, and we felt it was priced high. It's located in a quiet street little away from the main city, so we had little tough time finding it. We had a rented car for our entire stay, and it was good because of the location of the hotel Rooms: Room was fine and bed was okay. Cleanliness was also well maintained. The bed sheet, room decor are all in Rajasthani style and though the rooms are not very big, they looked cosy Food: They have a restaurant on the terrace. Breakfast was buffet and had Indian and continental dishes. Quality was good. Folk artists perform live in the restaurant in the evening and though the service was little slow, this made our evenings enjoyable We did not use any of the amenities (swimming pool etc) since we were out most of the time of the day so cannot comment on that We will look for other hotels at similar price range if we happen to go back to Jaipur again!
We stayed there in May 2014. The booking was made in advance through Groupon. The hotel gives you either pick or drop facility to railway station. The exteriors of hotel are excellent. The front desk service is very fast. They need ID of all the guests. The room was little bit smaller but the maintenance was like 4 star property. The interiors of room was awesome. The wash room was very clean and one thing we noted the marble work in bathroom was very fine. I did not find this type of work in most of the luxury hotels. The food was good. Laundry service was excellent. The sleep quality is very good, no outside sound/interruptions. The most admirable thing in the hotel was their complimentary breakfast which was better than most 4 star properties. They serve you variety of juices, corn flakes, tea, milk, fruits, egg, toasts and many more things. We booked a car from the front desk on reasonable rate 1500/- per day. They provided such a nice driver. The car was also maintained. Overall the hotel made our journey full of memories and no hassles. The check out is also very comfortable. Front desk executive took only five Min in final settlements. I think I have forgot to mention that this property is owned by expert tourism executives and lots of foreigners also prefer this hotel due to their polite and excellent service. Its a must go hotel in Jaipur. I want to thank hotel staff to make our stay relax and comfortable for which we had visited Jaipur.
Service is very good and food was very fantastic. Staff was good and room was very clean and good room service. Location is good. Hotel interior was royal design and royal painting. Online booking services was good I fully satisfied good hotel for couples and family breakfast was very nice.
