It was my trip to Tarkarli in the month of December 2016 where I stayed in the Visava. It was my holiday trip with family. The place where I had been to was good. The hotel location was average. I would rate the appearance of the hotel as average. The staff at the reception was good as they are polite and responsive. I booked this hotel via online. The services which was provided were average. The rooms at the hotel were good because of facilities and decoration. I would rate food as good because of taste and price is not high.
We visited Tarkarli to be a better, quieter, cheaper alternative to Goa - and we were not disappointed. Tarkarli was amazing Visava was a very highly rated cheap accommodation and it fit the bill. It flanks a long, empty beach with only a couple of small resorts in the vicinity. It has small cottages with neat little, very basic, rooms. It has a open air dining area by the beach - which exudes a very rural, lazy beach side feel. Large spaces, hammocks and the soulful and tasty Sol-Kadhi - a local speciality Tarkarli as a destination is wonderful too - fantastic water sports, more than you'd find in the hottest Goan beaches. However the place does shut down by 10, if night life is what ticks you you'd be better off headed south to Goa.
Visava is a completely no frills, value for money hotel in Tarkarli. Located right on the beach, which itself is quite empty most of the time, with only one or two other small (10 rooms max) hotels sharing it. The room themselves are pretty much a studio-size, clean, well-maintained, but absolutely nothing to boast of. It has an adjoining garden restaurant, with hammocks and coconut trees flanking the beach. Extremely relaxing. Do try the sol-kadhi and malvani chicken and the kombadi vadas, if not here then anywhere in Tarkarli. Tarkarli itself is an excellent destination. If your idea of a beach vacation is empty, idyllic rural beaches with calm waters and lot of water sports, Tarkarli is a superior alternative to Goa.
I was here in February 2012, the experience was excellent, food special malvani & crab masala delicious, sea facing rooms are very nice & clean, near by activities like dolfin safari nivati island were very good staff is very caring. But you should prefer to go by your own car.
My husband and I went to Tarkarli for Scuba diving - "My Dream ;)" . . We stayed at hotel Visava. It doesn't make you happy when you visit office which is not office actually But we booked Deluxe room which is near to beach and is giving complete view of sea. It was amazing to enjoy sunset from your balcony seating in 'zula'. We stayed there for 2 days 3 nights wow that was delicious and mouth watering, specially "prawns"- rava fry prawns. You have lots of options in 'Fresh' seafood there like pomfret fish, shell fish, crab and Soundala fish. I am sorry for veggies because you really have less options there but are quite good No activities provided by hotel you have to manage your own if you are going with group Hotel staff is good Overall it's good option for spending holidays peacefully.
I had been to Motel Visava in the month April 2015 with my friend and family. This was fun filled. Hotel was great. Place was super. Food was yummy. No words to describe it, for a change my mother was happy with the food with no complaints Hotel was booked solid, but we got our reservation was just in time. The catch was we (2 rooms). The breakfast was better than I remembered. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Staff in general were pleasant, helpful and always ready to help Note: This is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere was so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the general manager who does a great job here. A true sample of excellent hospitality.
My husband and I went on a weekend trip to Tarkarli and stayed at the Visava guest house. The owner is a friendly guy named Datta and he stays on the premises with his family. The room was really nice sea facing and very clean. The bed is huge and three people can easily sleep. The owner arranged for a rental bike for us The staff is helpful, the food here is okay. I would recommend eating outside. The room has an amazing sea facing balcony where we sat in the evening and enjoyed the breeze. Room rates are negotiable so bargain a little. Overall, I would give a 3. 5 out of 5.
Overall experience, food, room was good at hotel Visava, Tarkarli. Location, parking, accessibility to tourist attractions, beach is very good Only I felt bad is, lack of professional attitude of people operating / managing hotel. Refusal of room service without any reason in middle of stay, refusal of cleaning of room (Housekeeping) as room was little messy. (I think hotel expected us to clean rooms) Considering location we accepted this but major shock came across during our check-out, as when we were discussing some billing issues with manager / owner one old lady came out from home & started arguing with us regarding billing and payments in local language, owner tried to convince her to keep quiet but she went on & on, talking in local language. Finally, we paid the amount without resolving our issues in billing & left hotel with doubt in mind I think young people managing such business should understand the importance of professional attitude and keep outdated people out of the business.
Hotel Visava, Tarkarli - I booked it through Yatra. Com, it is located near beautiful Tarkarli Beach. I had a good stay with mix of good and bad. Food was good, location is also okay, but to visit attractions can be a problem at a times. Rooms were clean and located just adjacent to Malvan-Devbagh road. For people who will be out whole day and tourist just using hotel for night rest this one is a very good option. You can contact hotel staff for the arrangements of water sport related activities.
We went to Tarkarli in late February and found it to be a quiet and sleepy town at first. Visava is nestled among greenery and pristine beach The rooms are quite spacious (up to 3-4 people can be accommodated in a room) and bathrooms clean. You may miss having a cabinet for your valuables. For what it may lack in room, makes up for in hammocks and beach The area close to beach has several hammocks where you can lay all day long and keep sipping kokum soda. Beach is pristine and untouched but be careful during high tides The food is pretty good (loved Dal-Tadka) and there are other eating options in the vicinity as well This can be a light on pocket trip and you can have the fun of your life. Scuba diving near Sindhudurg fort and other water sports.
