Hotel Location:Hotel Vivaana is in Churi-Ajitgarh, which is next to Mukundgarh and near Mandawa. If you are going via road, do note that you have to follow Mukundgarh Road after Jhunjhunu and go towards Churi-Ajitgarh. It's a famous hotel over there. It's around 250 km from IGI Airport Delhi. Route to follow from Delhi is "Delhi - Gurgaon - Daruheda - Rewari - Narnol - Singhana - Chirawa - Jhunjhunu - Mukundgarh - Churi Ajitgarh". Occasion was we went via our own vehicle. We were two families. Actually it was my sister's marriage anniversary and we specially planned this trip for celebrating that. I must say that hotel and it's staff really made it a memorable event. About Hotel and activities available: Hotel is away from hustles and bustles of the city and you will really enjoy this place. At the entrance of the hotel itself, there were people to welcome guests. One was beating Rajasthani drum and other was showering flowers. We were served with a very unique welcome drink, I don't remember it's name but it was really nice and different from the welcome drink that you normally get in hotels these days. This hotel is very special in the sense that its built out of two havellis and owner has not let go the havellis theme. Even reception area was from havelli's space and bearing ethnic look. Rooms of the havellis have been modified and turned into hotel rooms. You will get a sense of staying in havellis with the luxury of hotel facilities - it's really great. Hotel has a very nice swimming pool, though being winter we didn't go for swimming. For winter, there are activities that one can enjoy like Badminton, Village tour (both via Walk and via bicycles), Camel Ride (you have option of Camel Cart ride too). Hotel staff arranged Camel Cart ride for us. It was around 30 minutes and went through many of the village streets. Not only us, our kids also enjoyed it a lot. In evening there was Kathputli (Puppet) show. Kids really liked that. After puppet show, we went for Karaoke. Hotel has a very good arrangement for Karaoke. All of us (including kids) enjoyed it a lot by singing. Kids even danced a lot. This was one of the experience that we will remember for long-long time. We also had Ayurveda massage in hotel during our stay. It was really nice and followed by Steam Bath. Mr. Bishu who does this massage (for gents) and is himself an Ayurveda Doctor. Note that hotel also has free WiFi facility in case you need same Rooms: Room was really nice and spacious with ethnic touch. Room was neat and clean with beds quite comfortable. Bathroom was also spacious, there was bathtub too. Bathroom was very nicely maintained and was provided with accessories like shampoo, moisturiser and shower cap. Reception & Staff: The staff was really helpful. In-fact I must appreciate their anticipation. I called up Hotel to ask for direction when we were about 10 KM away from hotel. Hotel Manager not only guide us but also got our rooms ready anticipating that we would reach in next 15-20 minutes. Staff also helped us in many activities. Check-in as well as Check-out process was smooth and didn't took much time. Food & Service:Hotel has lot of options on food front like Rajasthani thali, buffet, as well as ala-carte. Food was really nice and service was also good. Keeping in mind that we reached hotel after lunch time, still at our request, hotel staff arranged nice lunch for us. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner all were good. Breakfast was having descent variety. There were Fruits, Parathas, Breads (with butter & jam), Corn Flakes, Boiled Eggs, omelette, pan cake, etc. Juices as well as milk, tea and coffee were also available. As I mentioned that we were there for celebrating my sister's anniversary, hotel staff also arranged Anniversary Cake for us at mid-night. Hotel also has a bar which is very nice and well maintained. Overall:Well, even at the end of day 3, we were still thinking of staying there for more. I think this very well tells how much we enjoyed stay in the hotel. Hotel is really awesome (especially for relaxing and leisure trip).
We visited The Vivaana, mandawa in April 2014. They provided us with detailed guidance on route to the Haveli from Gurgaon Delhi, which was quite useful. When you cross Mandawa the next 10 km stretch to Ajitgarh Churi take you through true village with narrow roads to the Haveli. At the entrance there is vintage car with Vivaana written on its number plate. Once you enter the Haveli they will welcome you with dhol and maala, in proper traditional style. The Haveli is blend of cultural and modern style. We stayed at royal suite and it was a two floor room with open washroom on the first floor. Despite being an open washroom privacy of certain section is ensured. Throughout the Haveli, all walls are painted which gives royal feeling. I believe all the rooms are differently designed too . Apart from heritage feeling via rooms, the swimming pool, dining area, Reading room, lawn sit out all give you the modern feeling. Bar is designed keeping with proper balance of cultural and modern touch. Carvings, paintings and engraves are quite good. It's a treat for those who are interested in photography. At night one can enjoy local talents like puppet show, local dance and folk music. We went for early morning village walk to admire dancing peacocks, feel the village breeze and calmness of village. Subsequently went for slow camel ride to see sunrise. The path was very calm and view was mesmerizing the village around the Haveli is a typical Indian Rajasthani village. So, it might offer some novelty for foreigners but not so much for Indians. During our stay there were many foreign guests. Menu for food was designed according to taste of all the guests. Wished there was more of traditional Rajasthani food to complete the traditional feeling. Staff were cordial and courteous throughout. Nearby places to visit are famous salasar temple, fort (which we didn't visit) and nawalgarh museum. Overall, a great place for a weekend, nicely designed and comfortable
I was at Vivaana with 25 members family and friends for a couple of days and all of us loved the whole experience. Each aspect of our hotel stay was wonderful, their service was spot on and I was delighted at the end of the visit The property is a beautiful Rajasthani havel turned into a hotel. They have a big pool, the rooms were huge and luxurious, the bathrooms were modern and had rainshower in them. The staff were very polite and accommodating. Requests for 50 bottles of wines were entertained last minute, extending the pool times beyond 8 pm and usage of the vintage bar area for the whole night. They have desert safari, local dance shows etc that can arranged at extra costs. The spa was decent But the most amazing thing was seeing a dancing peacock right outside my door at 5:30 am. This was divine The food was fantastic, they made it non-spicy on request for my international guests. The flavour was awesome with a wide variety of Indian and Continental dishes. The rates for rooms and food are reasonable but it was worth it The location of this hotel is a bit away from the Mandawa town, and the roads are bad. Apart from this nothing to complain about I would rate this hotel very highly and would recommend it to my friends.
We spent three nights at the Vivaana Culture Hotel located in a quiet village near Mandawa in a Haveli (real small castle decorated with frescoes on the outside and patios). Havelis in this region are the reason for visit, the Shekawati that deserves more than a day visit. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable. The impeccable service and maintenance. The hotel has a nice pool and a massage centre The welcome is friendly but a little distant. The service seemed very popular with customers including mealtimes. Suggestions for restoration, the dishes served at the buffet is excellent but the menus of two consecutive nights deserved greater differentiation. The tables could have been drawn up in the garden in the evening as is the case in many hotels of its kind in Rajasthan as the nights are very pleasant and very dry climate avoids the presence of mosquitoes.
Be assured of the magic of the place. You'll stay in this beautiful Haveli tastefully restored while preserving the historical maximum without distorting. The team available, caring and listening, offers quality impeccable services. Every corner offers a lot of magic both architecture, tasteful decor, the greenery, the comfort of the rooms and cleanliness. We were pleased by the meal, breakfast outdoors in the sun. Many services are also offered us: spa, massages, night shows. We had a perfect stay and we highly recommend this hotel.
