Snuggling the Eastern Ghats, Yercaud is known for its vast forest and rich coffee plantations and unique flora and fauna resulting. It is absolutely a scenic hill station, where the most enjoyable activity could be trekkinng. The major attraction of Yercaud is Emerald lake that is surrounded by hills and natural shoals. The Anna Park, Japanese Park, Ladys Seat, waterfalls of Killiyur are some of the best sightseeing places in Yercaud. The view of the ghat road and the town of Salem to the South is certainly a highlight as well. One can also see Ladies Slipper in the Orchidarium.

Horrible and nothing to do

It is an under developed station which is not worthy to travel from Bangalore and visit. It is like something from Tamil Nadu visiting Nandi Hills after travelling 300 kms.

Small and nice town

Yercaud is a small nice place, not too crowded - though there were tourists, the place is not as crowded like other hill stations. The lake is the central point of the town and there are a few eating joints with good food. Weather was pleasant in the month of May and we were told that they see the sun only for three months in the year and the rest of the time it is cloudy.

Small town has a lot of seminaries and convents

It is a really small town and one can find the odd supermarkets that you would expect to find in a hillstation. The town has a lot of seminaries and convents. Apart from that the town has a small market.

Clean place, handmade things available

Some how clean town, lot of things available cheaply to buy. The things they sold were done with the people living. They done that with their own effort and it really looks good.

Beautiful place in a serene environment

The place is very relaxing and beautiful. We feel very near to nature. The weather is pleasant. We can take a cab or bus to Yercaud from Salem town which is at the foothills of Yercaud. The journey from Salem to Yercaud is very mesmerising as we go on the 'hairpin bends.' The place is very beautiful an relaxing.

The travellers should go boating, which is the centre of attraction

It was a short distance sightseeing trip from Bangalore. The hill station has a very pleasant climate. The way while climbing the hill is very good, the people will enjoy the ride. The travellers should go boating, which is the centre of attraction. The hill has a musical fountain which operates from 7 PM to 7.30 PM daily.
