Big zoo but the animals are not well kept

The Guwahati zoo is located in the middle of the city with huge area. It covers almost 170 hectare area along with a hillock. Though there is a very good collection of animals but the condition of the cages and animals are not well kept. I feel there should be option of battery car for moving around in the zoo it will help for the aged as well as the disabled person to visit the zoo in those cars.

All-natural Zoo for the Adventurous

At a nominal ticket cost, you can enter the famous Assam zoo and head over to a sprawling 2-km-radius area of nature and wildlife. The most appealing factor here is the calmness of the scenery. Being the largest natural zoo in India, you have a large area to be covered on foot which might be an obstacle for aged and the physically weak. Calls out to those seeking adventure. No dearth of food stalls inside. Though the zoo needs more maintenance. Carrying an umbrella, some food, water is highly recommended.

One-horned rhino and tigers(man-eaters) are the main attraction

One-horned rhino and tigers(man-eaters) are the main attraction. The charges for camera are reasonable. The mongoose is another highlight. A worthy visit.

Nice place, needs to be maintained

A good collection of wildlife. Children can enjoy this place, specially varieties of snakes, and with the presence of White Tigers. Governments can make this more better by providing some food outlets. Maintenance to be upgraded soon.

A trip to the Zoo; just like old times :)

Even as kids whenever we knew a zoo trip was coming up, we would imagine seeing all sorts of animals and marvel at them. Lately, this has become a sad story, seeing their brothers in the wild free, and them inside closed doors. Even so, it is a good place for kids and couples to spend some quiet time together or a wonderful family time.
