HolidayIQ Traveller Trupti Vartak from Mumbai shares, “We stayed as a group of two families at Arco Iris Margao Goa. The location is a little interior but the approach road to the home stay is very beautiful. Fully surrounded by dense trees and a lake full of bloomed lotus flowers are there to welcome you at the home stay. The hosts are very welcoming and they make you comfortable as soon as you enter. Very friendly family and cosy rooms. The service is excellent with a wide spread of family breakfast, lunch and dinner. The only problem we had was due to kids who are always hungry, the in between snacks was an issue. So we need to carry snacks with us. Rest I would recommend this place for a cosy family break. Nowadays, this home-stay you can see as the house of the hero in Drishyam. Brought back warm memories.”

2. Casa Colvale, Bardez

HolidayIQ Traveller Praveen Kumar from Bhopal shares, “We stayed a week in Casa Colvale. It is a beautiful location, right on the river. It has a total of 12 rooms, most with views to the river. Everything is super clean and tastefully decorated. It has courteous staff and restaurant with wooden terrace on the river is ideal for romantic dinners. Also private on the upper deck with stunning outlook over the offshore island in the river is good. All in all a hotel to be recommend to people who are looking for peace and have no interest in night-life. The owner has another 4 hotels in Goa, we would also like to try in near future.”

3. The Aranya Center, Arpora

HolidayIQ Traveller Bhanu Mayank from Nagpur shares, “The Aranya Center Villa is known for its good quality so there are no surprises. I stayed there for two nights in the weekend of March, the weather was excellent. The hotel has big huts. The room I got was far behind so try to get a room close to the pool or the beach - it will make it a better experience for you. The room was big and new, contained a huge bath area and a big balcony in front of an artificial lake in the hotel.”

4. Villa Rivercat, Mandrem

HolidayIQ Traveller Umang from Nagpur shares, “Its an extraordinary spot to stay feels like a place of refuge in India with an incredible environment. The house is just alongside a lovely long shoreline go and douse up the daylight then watch the nightfall. The natural product plates of mixed greens at breakfast are extraordinary and you have a gathering of puppies and little cats to play with. The house itself it set between the stream overhanging with palm trees and the wide brilliant shoreline. Its open passages, clearing staircase and Gaudi-esque mosaic outline are similar to something from a decent dream. The entire set-up advances a sentiment smooth and quietness - outlined more to satisfy the faculties than to inspire (in spite of the fact that it's positively amazingly delightful). Toward the start of the season - the end of the rainstorm. It was similar to a harvest time springtime - everything lavish and green, however drying into bunch hues. Sitting on the loft seat on the gallery with red and brilliant leaves falling around me. During the evening, peering up through the palm forgets and working which were stars and which were fireflies. Lots of spots adjacent for yoga classes and there was a gathering of ladies staying for a yoga retreat at the house. Will return again next season.”

5. Laguna Anjuna, Anjuna Beach

Has decent swimming pool. It is very near to Anjuna beach. Not internet facility, rooms are neat & comfortable enough. Very nice place to relax.”

6. Cuba Agonda, Agonda

HolidayIQ Traveller Sandip Maity from Bangalore shares, “Hotel was located at comfortable place. Appearance of the hotel was normal. Room was well furnished and spacious. Food was average quality and variety wise. No activities were arranged by the hotel. Check-in and check-out procedure was timely. This hotel is recommendable and value for money. Staff service was okay-okay. They needed improved in food and staff. It was our relaxing and peaceful holiday. I traveled this place with my family in November 2013. I belong from Bangalore city.”

7. Cuba Patnem Bungalows, Canacona

HolidayIQ Traveller A A from Mumbai shares, “he place is located on Patnem beach - a few km south of the famous Palolem beach. Unlike Palolem, this is relatively unspoiled and is far more peaceful. Cuba Patnem is right on the beach and you can go in for a dip in the sea or for long peaceful walks on the Patnem beach or the nearby Rajbagh Beach which is virtually empty. The place is run by very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are minimalistic - don't expect any luxury here, but the stay will be memorably peaceful. Food is wonderful and deserves a mention, especially a quiet dinner on a breezy evening.”

8. Joie De Vivre, Bardez

The rooms are nice and clean and it has a really well-maintained swimming pool. The areas of Bagga and main tourist spots are very close by. The staff although sparse is very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay in a small group.”

HolidayIQ Traveller Ritesh S shares, “Stayed here for 2 days and the experience was great. Just takes 2 min walk to Calangute Beach. Had opted for non A/c room. However the rooms are quite small not really worth for 4000. But if getting discounts then nothing not like it. Staff are very responsive and act very quickly for the queries. Resort is filled with greenery and well-maintained resort. Beach, Tattoos and shopping places, Hotels are all nearby and walk-able distance.”
