HolidayIQ Reviewer Saurabh Maheshwari shares, “Gokarna, it's not a very big place, but a small town with religious sentiments as well as beautiful beaches. A part of the town is for the tourist who comes here for relaxation and fun. This is different from all the beaches at least which I have seen. You have to climb a mountain and then trek down to reach the beaches. Don't worry you can take a auto or your own cab to reach the top of the mountain and from there you can climb down using the stairs, which are not so many.

HolidayIQ Reviewer AKHILESH KUMAR adds, “Say yes to OM beach. This beach is one of the beautiful beaches of India. The strange thing is even though it is Karnataka, we are unaware of it.”

HolidayIQ Reviewer JOJI JOSEPH adds, “Cherai beach is the most sought after place for tourists coming to Kerala and relaxing point for local people during weekends. Having an extended coastline the beach is different from many others and is well-maintained and clean. Hence nice for sunbathing apart from swimming due to the shallow water. It is surrounded by green paddy fields and coconut trees which make it more attractive. The main area has been redecorated recently constructing a long walkway, lighting up the area to facilitate late visits, food outlets were established and a police aid post was established in addition to the coast guard services to ensure security. The visitors can enjoy fresh and delicious seafood from the outlets. It is a beautiful combination of sea and backwaters rimmed by lush greenery.”
