HolidayIQ Traveller Shivlal Sharma from Bangalore shares, ”We as a team of friends visited Shillong for an offbeat adventurous holiday with my friends. We were told that Ri Kynjai Resort is one of the best place to stay in Shillong. It is built on a Khasi style. It is one of the most quiet place to stay. The view of the sun rise as well as sun sets are the highlight of the rooms in this resort and can prove even a best place for those looking for a calm place for their honeymoon! Ri Kynjai Resort has one of the best amenities, which you hardly expect in a place like where it is located, especially in Shillong. We were greatly surprised to see the inside of it. The exterior of this resort in itself has a great aesthetic look gives you the old and new style. The services offered by the staff overall is very satisfied and there is definitely no qualms about it. Even the rooms are decently maintained and no issues. If you are planning for an offbeat holiday, I would definitely suggest you to try Ri Kynjai as it is the best place to stay in Shillong and very different.”

HolidayIQ Traveller Mr.Sanjeev shares, “We visited this Kalimpong in December as part of our North-East India tour. We decided to stay at Silver Oaks hotel, and shortly we realised that we made a great decision! The hotel had everything - very good staff, delicious food, beautiful scenic view, beautifully decorated corridors, rooms with room heaters, excellent bathroom, and other facilities - making the stay a very pleasant one. We are looking forward to visiting Kalimpong again in the future - to have another wonderful stay at this hotel again! Silver Oaks rocks!”

3. Retreat To The Jungles In Masinagudi

HolidayIQ Traveller Prabhu Shah from Ujjain shares, “A completely different experience for nature lovers. The Mudumalai Reserve continues into the jungle retreat property. It is not fenced and I had a chance of spotting a deer and watching a variety of species of birds. The pool was made in natural surroundings with a thoughtful grading of pebbles for wildlife. The services were very prompt and good; food was awesome. The holiday place is for those who love the intense quiet of nature, no landscapes or artificially grown gardens. I was able to see wild elephants on the safari along with bison. A peaceful retreat away from the hum drum of city life, would love to go back there again.”

4. Go Paragliding In Naukuchiatal

HolidayIQ Traveller Suchismita Das from Kolkata shares, “Visiting and staying at Acres Wild was a "dream come true" experience for me! I was taken by surprise by the warm bonhomie, good companions, marvellous food and the sylvan/idyllic surroundings. I took a dive in the quaint little pond on the property and had a wonderful swim, quite unexpectedly! The owners and their staff are a motley, yet a lovely bunch of like-minded people who take care of their guests like their own family. Though desolate, but incorrigibly natural and ethereal in its beauty, the different cottages, straight out of fairy tales, and named after different kinds of cheese are excellent! Rustic and wild, yet with all the modern day facilities, this property's a loner's paradise. Of course, it's also a place where one might get lucky and make new yet very genuine friends, even. Acres Wild with its distinctly flavoured different kinds of cheese, served fresh every morning at breakfast, along with the ambience makes life worth living, in the truest sense of the term! I will definitely go back to Acres Wild to taste the rugged and rustic wilderness experience along with an innate urbaneness we cannot do without!”

6. Rejuvenate Your Mind In Shimla

HolidayIQ Traveller Dr.Arjun Arya says, “Marigold was an enriching experience in terms of a warm welcome followed by a courteous staff and good food. The place is ideal for a resort surrounded by mountains on all sides and a deep valley located at a good height on the way to Naldehra. The best part was the silence of the hills where one can relax and rejuvenate. The cottages were clean and spacious and ventilation was good. I would advise once a visit in a lifetime.”
