1. Aashyana Lakhanpal, Candolim Beach

Hemant R: I am writing this review on the basis of my experience with this hotel. I must say that things went on better than I expected. The quality of food here, is not just good it is the best. Finally, I would like to conclude by saying that the food in the hotel not only satisfied one of my senses, but all five of them. It was a treat for the tongue and as well as for the mind. I take this platform to encourage all the staff(cooking and administration) to keep the good work going. Thank you and I am indeed blessed to have been in the hotel. This was once-in-a-lifetime experience.

2. Glenburn Estate, Darjeeling

Ankur Konar: Wonderful hostess made our welcome amazing. Glenburn Tea Estate is a heavenly little plantation retreat set on a hillock above the banks of the River Rangeet, deep in the Himalayas, overlooking the Kanchenjunga peak. We were all thrilled with our rooms, which were large & spacious and beautifully decorated.”

Raghunathan Hariharan: Glenburn Estate is a great place to unwind. It's the perfect getaway if you need to be away from the crowds, be close to nature and the mountains and enjoy discreet and yet superb service.”

3. Wildflower Hall, Mashobra

Tejinder Mehta: Absolutely amazing location, green environs with lots of trees, walkways and big lawns. The food is excellent and when served in the rear open balcony/veranda, there is duality to be savoured' - food and the fragrance of green pines and firs. A delight to be there but very tough to say goodbye, as you feel decadent after the service and culinary delights.

4. Ri Kynjai Resort, Shillong

Tanmaya Talukdar: Stay at Ri Kynjai Resort was a fabulous experience. The lovely wood work all around the place strikes you while you enjoy the welcome drink. The most exotic experience is to see the sun rising on the lake at the horizon from the comfort of your bed and chirping of birds.  There were many varieties of food spread in the breakfast and dinner was wholesome too. Speed boating in the barapani lake is nice. Oh! the view from the balcony was fabulous in the lake-facing rooms.

5. Ahilya Fort, Maheshwar

Ahilya Fort, Maheshwarsource: Ahilya Fort

Merashmi: I have not been able to find a place like Ahilya Fort where I think I would love to visit again and again. The serenity, peace and tranquility of the Narmada, the divine experience of seeing small oil lamps floating in the Narmada every evening, the ringing of the temple bells from a far early morning, sounds of conch shells blowing, having your delicious breakfast served so beautifully while you look at the beautiful ghats, everything there transports you to a different time and age. Staying otherwise in a buzzing metro city, Maheshwar and Ahilya Fort bring you the much required peace.

6. The Bungalow On The Beach, Tranquebar

Pradeep S: Just lying on the verandah on the first floor of this restored property, taking in the sea view and the cool breeze of the sea, took me away into a dreamy world, gave a nostalgic feel like no other. We booked Princess Louise on the first floor, this being the only room available at that time. This incidentally also happens to be the largest room in the Bungalow

7. Moksha Himalaya Spa Resort, Parwanoo

Sanjay Sivadas: recently, took a yoga holiday at 'Anantya'. The latter is a breathtaking hideaway tucked in the lap of nature, some 50 kilometers from Trivandrum. The tranquil settings of a 1000 acre rubber plantation inside, which 'Anantya' is situated, made it possible for me to completely immerse myself in yoga. The breathtaking views of a shimmering lake set against the backdrop of a stunning mountain chain from my cottage, inspired some quiet contemplation.

8. The Serai, Chikmagalur

Reena: It was our honeymoon trip. Garden view was there from the room. Activities like swimming pool, indoor, outdoor games and some activities were provided in the hotel. Food was fabulous and fantastic. Both varieties like veg and non-veg food were provided. I would like to recommend other travellers. I will stay in the same hotel if I visit Chikmagalur.

9. The Machan, Lonavala

Preeti Shah: The Machan is a boutique hotel made out of tremendous passion by the owners. The three bed-room hall tree-house is done up in a really well and lot of thought has gone into planning and presentation. We were very happy to see the top-class look of the valley from the rooms. Service from the staff is excellent, friendly and food served is freshly made. Hotel is best for couples and people seeking relaxed holiday, as there are not many activities for kids.

10. Barefoot At Havelock Jungle Resort, Havelock Island

Mohit Verma: Our stay was beautiful despite the monsoon season, the island was really nice, very green and with wonderful beaches. Our stay at Barefoot was very pleasant: the resort, consisting of little more than twenty bungalows built according to local tradition with natural materials and equipped with every comfort, and also decorated with great taste, overlooking the beach in the island more. After a short path of about 0. 3 km, in a middle of a wonderful forest of majestic trees, populated by colourful birds, you will come to a beach that some have called the most beautiful of the Asia: an expanse of fine sand that stretches for a few miles fringed by green forest and lapped by clear blue sea and proceeding towards a small bay where the water takes on all shades of blue.
