Minicoy, the southernmost lagoon of Lakshadweep is heaven for all you lovebirds. The turquoise water makes the perfect setting for romance. One of the significant attractions of Minicoy is a tall lighthouse, which is one of the oldest, built in 1885 by the British. The island derives its name from Arab trade terminology, Jazirat-al-Maliku.
