HolidayIQ Reviewer Rizwanuddin Rafiq adds, “Nagari is an ancient Indian city, amazing and it was a symbolic town of the Mauryan period to Chandragupt Period as many ancient coins were discovered by the Archaeological Department under their excavation. In the second century B.C, it was attacked by the Greeks and later occupied by the Sibis as their punch mark coins are also discovered with the legend Majha Mikaya Sibi-Janapadas. In the 2nd century, it remained under the influence of Kshatrapas and later in the third century, under the rule of Malvas and Huna. A stupa is also discovered made by moulded bricks. HolidayIQ Reviewer Avinash Kumar says, “The palace can be visited inside from 9.00 am to 5.00 am on all days of the week where one can get to see the ancient grandeur in which the raja-maharajas used to live. There is also a museum situated inside the palace premises and can be visited. One needs to buy a ticket to visit the palace from the inside during the daytime. On Sunday evenings, from 7.00 to 7.30, the palace is lit with thousands of bulbs and that view is truly magical. We got spellbound when we saw that view for the first time. There are 2 temples inside the premises which should be visited marvel the ancient architecture. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Ravi Raj says, “This 13th century built Sun Temple is a great piece of Indian architecture. The temple is shaped like a gigantic chariot along with carved wheels and pillars. It is a UNESCO world heritage. I have visited this place twice. It is really must watch location if you visit Odisha. You must have to look at the architecture, carving along walls and sculpture are great. If you love ancient Indian architecture, carving, sculpture then you must visit this place. Carry water, sunscreen, sunglass, as humidity is high and you may feel the heat. Nov- Feb is the best time to visit this place. A nearby attraction is also there like Ramchandi Beach, Chandrabhaga Beach and Puri Konark marine drive.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Parth Mehta adds, “There is a nominal entry fee for maintenance of heritage site and we surely don't have to bother paying that. Modhera Sun Temple is greatly constructed temple by ancient rulers, constructed in a manner wherein sunlight directly falls in the centre of the temple. There is a garden and a 'vav' too (similar to Ranki Vav). But I would say the place is poorly maintained by the government authorities. Surely it's a good place but poorly maintained. My advice to prospective visitors is that you must visit this Sun Temple as the Nakshi Kam in the temple is simply awesome. There are idols of all type old dance groups.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Surbhit Mathur says, “Mehrangarh is a great example of ancient archaeology. It has really huge amazing views, carvings, and don't forget to take in a glimpse of Jodhpur from the roof. I would mention that it’s so clean as generally, these old monuments are generally very dirty. The gestures of the attendants who guide you around the fort are so generous. It has signs of attacks on the wall on huge walls. The best time to visit Mehrangarh is during October. Join the RIFF festival. It’s amazing - the whole day is packed with vivid shows from folk music to fusion music and folk dances. You can never forget those moments in your lifetime.” Read Full Review
