The travel in the jeep, through the rough roads, spotting birds and animals in between, and the unlimited jokes together coined a memorable day for sure. Although however hard we tried and whatever routes we went on we could not spot a Tiger, just his footprints. There were some cool spots in between for clicking amazing pictures. If you have the bandwidth try planning an overnight stay in the camps, it will definitely be a rejuvenating and exciting experience. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Pradip Kumar Dutta says, “Green hill abode of Santhals We took a cab from Purulia town to cover the trip. It took about 40 mins to reach the foot hill and then we started to climb the hill by serpentine roads enjoying the view of thick forest of sal on two sides of the road. In between we saw water spring and falls and nobody knows from where and how this water flow is maintained throughout the year when rainfall in the area is quite limited. We came down by other side of the hill through Santhal Village, tiny cottages are very well-maintained with cheerful children playing around and domestic animals enjoying their gazing time. So peaceful and so friendly an environment chills one down to his spine and compels one to feel what we are missing in our busy routine city life.” Read Full Review
HolidayIQ Reviewer Sudipta Nandy shares, “A favourite weekend destination on a small hill...The hill has got a full package of attraction including a huge hydro electric project, two massive reservoirs as upper and lower dam and a picturesque road to climb the hill. If you love to have some more adventure, you can trek down the hill along with a small hilly rivulet. If you plan a night stay, you have to opt for the forest rest house or the tourist guest house, and a prior booking for the both is advised. For the local sightseeing, you can arrange an SUV which is available locally.” Read Full Review

The journey starts with the uphill travel with spice garden on both sides of the zig zag hilly roads, and you will find almost all the spices growing there that are found in India. In between there are certain spots where you can halt for food. The view on both sides of the road is breathtaking with a typical smell of spices in the air. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Sakhawat Hasan shares, “Beautiful jungle path with perilous twists It was a 3 hour jeep drive starting from the National Park gates. Tar roads gave way to concrete ones, with narrow mud tracks running over mountains in the end. There are 4 main spots, the 1st one being the Cynosure. The last 500 m will stop your heart, just a half feet distance between the jeep tyres and the 1000 ft deep abyss waiting for you in case of a small glitch by the driver - huge adrenalin rush!!” Read Full Review
