Munnar is resplendent in terms of greenery, pleasant weather and soothing scenery. Go on a picnic with dad to Mattupetty. It houses a storage concrete gravity dam for hydroelectricity generation purposes. Take him to the Top Station which provides a panoramic view of the place and is also an important trade centre.

HolidayIQ reviewer Ashutosh says, "These kinds of landscapes make you forget everything else about your life. I would like to come here with dad and show him this place just to make him understand what I am up to in my life as a photographer."

Ladakh being the highest inhabited region in India provides a challenging trip for all those who dare to visit the place. With crystal blue water and a beautiful backdrop, Pangong Lake should be the most important stop. Leh Palace sits on top of the Namgyal Hill and is known for its aesthetic appeal. Oh and don't miss out the Shanti Stupa.

HolidayIQ reviewer Ajanta describes the terrain, "The beauty of barren lands with all snow covered mountains make Leh Ladakh more majestic and heavenly." HolidayIQ reviewer Vikas lists out the things to do, "Places of visit in Ladakh - Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake and Leh. To visit this place one required more than average fitness. Food in Ladakh is also very good."

Being the party capital of India, Goa has no dearth of entertainment. Chill on the Palolem beach with your dad or take him on a cruise at Goa's main river, Mandovi. Go strolling along the lanes of Margao town, a centre of Portuguese cultural heritage. Or just attend some parties on one of the popular beaches.

HolidayIQ reviewer Ankit talks about his experience, "I enjoyed a lot with my mum, dad and my elder sister. We went to the beach and swam before hitting a park nearby. We spread out a pleasant picnic there." HolidayIQ reviewer Ankur describes Goa, "It's sunny and sexy beaches, green countryside, cheerful song and dance, and great seafood and wine, make Goa tourism an experience that people go back to over and over again."

A UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the seven wonders of India, Khajuraho needs no introduction. Explore the Western and Southern group, like the Adinath Temple, Chitragupta Temple, Devi Jagdambi Temple, Dulhadev Temple and Kandariya Mahadev Temple, which are few of the many renowned ones.

HolidayIQ reviewer Mahesh says, "Khajuraho may be promoted as the land of Kamasutra but there's a lot more to Khajuraho than what the internet can tell you. The main attractions were certainly the western group of temples which are a majestic creation of extraordinary craftsmanship. I was amazed to see such intricate carvings, stories and devotion of the Chandela empire."

7. Mussoorie: For the bookworm dad

Mussoorie is the verdant hill station with a spectacular view of the Himalayan range. Visit the spectacular Kempty Falls or take a leisurely stroll along The Mall. You never know, when you and your dad might bump into the one and only, Ruskin Bond!

HolidayIQ reviewer Lucy says, "My 6th visit to Mussoorie, after a gap of almost 12 years and it is neater, cleaner, poignantly beautiful in the monsoons. Drizzle and pouring rain, the mist rolling in, tall deodar pines and rhododendron trees in the hillsides of Landour are what you love, this is your place. Enjoy a good walk up the undulating paths, past Ruskin Bond's house, in the rain armed with just an umbrella."
