The tea plantations on the hilltop which is 7900 feet above sea level are believed to have a special flavor and freshness. We started by jeep to Kolukkumalai Tea Estate and the journey through the bumpy road. A blend of plantations view, cool breeze, tranquil atmosphere and scenic beauty One the major plantation center of Munnar, Pothamedu is hardly 6 km from Munnar and you can drive up till the viewpoint through the zigzag road. Excellent picnic spot, located about 13 km from Munnar, Mattupetty Dam is a lovely picnic spot with the charming reservoir surrounded by the lush green tea plantations, and the rolling grasslands, the Shola forests etc. ” Read Full Review
