Nature lovers must visit Gir National Park, a wildlife sanctuary for world famous Asiatic Lions. It has many tourists attractions like Devalia Lions Safari Park where one can see and enjoy lions and other wild animals roaming around near your bus which takes you for the safari ride. You can also book a jungle safari which takes you to the interiors of the beautiful lion sanctuary and gives you a chance to see and meet the king of the forest in nature's lap with many other wild animals. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Deep Kalaria shares, “It's the best and the biggest National Park in India with a variety of animals and birds. The elephant safari here is considered to be the best. We also enjoyed a bonfire in the National Park at night. It is one of the best places to visit in India with family and friends. You can also enjoy camping here.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Singh Hira says, “My suggestion is to stay at or near the park. Get up early in the morning to get a vehicle for your jungle safari. If you are a wildlife photographer who wishes to take a Jeep, be ready with all the camera gear. The best timing is in the morning and evening. Inside the park, up to the final entrance gate, one can drive their vehicle to see the fort and Ganesha Temple. You can take in the view of the fort and the changing landscape. You will be at peace over there. Spend some time over there. There is no charge and you can hire a local guide to understand the place around the fort and its history. Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Bhushavali Natarajan adds, “It is called Veppila in Malayalam. The particular fruit that the monkeys love grow for three out of the four seasons of the year. The fruit is somewhat similar to durian. It should be a variety of durian. It is very thorny and hard on the outside and when you open it up, it has 5-6 wedges that taste similar to Ice Apple! A wild cousin of durian, perhaps? Presently there are 20 jeeps and 2 buses that provide transport from the gate to a particular point inside the forest at which they stop at a camping site after which a little trek for 2.5 km is required, till the Kunti River. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Sudipta Nandy adds, “If you are a lover of the wildlife, then hot summer is the perfect time to visit this magnificent National Park. The jungle safari at the breaking of dawn and also the evening one till dusk is going to make unforgettable memories as the sudden appearance of wildlife will mesmerize you. The Bandhavgarh National Park has got 3 zones and it is better you have an advance entry ticket booked for the jungle safari. The Tala Zone is the premium one and the other two zones - the Khitauli and the Magadhi zones - are the regular one. The timing of the morning safari is more suitable as it provides you a comparatively longer duration to enjoy the wildlife and their adobe too.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Jai Bharathi adds, “The Highest Peak with a Heart shaped Lake at the Top Get ready for a tiresome trek to the top of the peak. Please carry water and snacks as nothing is available at the peak. Night camping is not allowed and so, plan to get back to the base by evening. One has to visit this peak along with a local guide provided by the Tourist office located at the base. The trek time is an average of 2 hours climb up and another 2 hours down. The trek up is totally worth it after reaching the lake which is in the shape of a heart. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Abhijit Gupta adds, “A place for jungle safari: Gorumara National Park is a reserve forest and has been declared as a wildlife sanctuary by the government. The park is located at Dooars region of North Bengal at the foothills of the Himalayan range. Lataguri is the gateway to the forest and the nearest railway station is Maynaguri and New Mal junction. Murti being a hot spot to tourists, I would suggest travellers to visit Gorumara Park via New Mal junction station and spend one or two days in Murti before they visit the national park. There are taxi services from the stations up to Murti and Lataguri. Gorumara national Park is very famous for its flora and fauna. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Monica Rai adds, “An African jungle safari Experience in India! It is like none other in its natural beauty. The Ken River which flows across the forest is a natural wonder and is breathtaking too. It besieges a plethora of fauna and flora. The wildlife is vulnerable yet untouched by the affects of modern civilization, in complete harmony with nature's balance. The topography of the forest changes from region to region. It sometimes appears like the Savanna in Africa and like the Amazon on the other. The crocodiles in their unique environment display acts of amusement and fury. I have been a witness to nature’s miracles here. ” Read Full Review
