1. Barog station

Barog Railway Station is located immediately after the tunnel. The Barog Tunnel is the most linear tunnel in the world.

Fun fact: The Baroh tunnel is said to be haunted by the ghost of Colonel Barog who was incharge of the digging of the hotel.

Diven Bajaj: Suryavilas is an amazing and relaxing place to stay. The food is awesome. My family enjoyed the stay and even my children had quite enough activities to do. This place is for all types of people, that's what I like about this place compared to other places.

The Charbagh Railway Station in Lucknow is among the most beautifully built stations in India. The ‘char bagh’ refers to the four gardens, which existed here earlier.

Ankush: Sarovar Portico Lucknow property is located at the posh Shahnajaf road, minutes away from the Hazratganj main market. It offers excellent food and room quality at an acceptable price point. The high point of the hotel is its food and service standard. An ideal hotel for business as well as a personal trip.

A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus is architecturally one of the most remarkable railway stations in the world.

K G: I could not write more about this Marriott property in the Juhu area of Mumbai, because you will have to experience the stay yourself. It gives you a sense of pride staying here, not only because of its grandness and luxury but the hospitality as well. We stayed there for one night and booked an ocean view room and it was nice, cosy and well up to our expectations.

4. Dudhsagar railway station

The Dudhsagar railway station lies just to the left of the majestic Dudhsagar falls.

Harveen: Had a lovely time at Novotel Goa Shrem Resort. The property is located in between Candolim and Calangute beach. Clean and well maintained property, room advisable - pool view room they just have view of pool and not private pool. Staff was courteous with happy faces around. La Briza their beach property is also a good romantic place for evening hangouts.

5. Gorakhpur station

Gorakhpur became the world's longest railway platform after inauguration of the remodelled Gorakhpur Yard, stretching across 1.35 km.

Shiva: It was really a very nice experience to stay in Hotel Shivoy, Gorakhpur. Rooms are hygienic and comfortable along with a very good and delicious fooding. As far as services are concern are also very prompt and the people there are really very soft spoken and helpful from front office to end security office.

6. Ghum station

India's highest railway station (altitude of 2225.7 meters) and world's 14th highest, Ghum is a small railway station. Close to Darjeeling, it lies on one of the most beautiful railway tracks in the world.

Gurjot Singh: I visited Mayfair Darjeeling with my wife. Our stay was for 2 nights. We got an upgrade from superior room to suite. This was a nice gesture from the management of the resort. We got a nice welcome when we entered the hotel premises. We were given welcome drink while front office was doing all the formalities. The Suite we got for our stay was excellent.

7. Turbhe station

Turbhe Railway Station is on the Harbour line of the Mumbai suburban railway network. The huge dome, which looks beautiful from a distance.

Deepak: This is finest location with all the 7 star facility available, right from check-in lobby to Terrace Swimming pool which is awesome. Also nearby Metro station Sakinaka just outside hotel gate it is situated. Food and room quality is excellent.

8. Dwarka station

It may look like one of the temples in the holy city of Dwarka, but it is really a railway station.

Swagato Bhattacharya: Try sea facing one by spending a bit more. The sea is at stone's throw and is best part of it. Only few hotels with such ambience and location in Dwarka.
