HolidayIQ Reviewer Kamal Rao says, “Markets surrounding the Har Ki Paudi are awesome. You will see lots of amazing things on the market. Avoid visiting this place on holidays because it gets very crowded. Take care of your belongings because this area is known for pickpockets. Aarti in the mornings and in the evenings will give you a very relaxing and spiritual feeling. Just take a holy dip in Ganga and purify your soul. Har Ki Pauri is not very far away from the railway station and bus stand. You should also try the tonga ride from the bus stand to Har Ki Pauri. It is a very cool place. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Naresh Save shares, “This temple is one of the biggest temples in Jammu situated in the Jammu Bazaar area. Images/statues of almost all Hindu gods are there and one of the temples consists of 33 crore gods on single spread stone. All the incarnations of god Vishnu are also in statue form and a small description of each incarnation is given at its respective place. Various types of god Ganesha are also there. The temple was under renovation when we visited it in December of 2015. However, we have to be careful from some Pujaris who may like to extract more money from you. This is my 4th visit this temple.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Snehalata Jain adds, “Ananthapuram temple is the oldest temple and one of the ancient temples with a very long mythological story behind it. There is a crocodile that protects the whole temple and especially the cave from which god Padmanabhan crossed over to reach the Trivandrum Padmanabhan Temple. Here, in this temple, the idol of the god sits and in Trivandrum the god he is reclining in sleep. This temple is very clean and close to Nature. It is also pious and cool and breezy. The best thing is the rules are still followed for everyone, like how the ladies wear mundu and the men come bare-chested wearing a Mundi.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Jagdish Raval shares, “I visited this holy and the only leading temple of Lord Murugan ( Kartik Swamy) in the year 2015 for the second time. The temple is dedicated to Murugan, the son of Shiva and Parvati. The temple is in the city centre. The temple is the birthplace of Kandapuranam. According to mythology, Lord Murugan punished Lord Brahma for his ignorance of the meaning of the Pranava Mantra, by a hard knock on his vortex with his fist and then imprisoned him. Later, he assumed the creation duties of Lord Brahma. This is one of the neatest temples of Kanchipuram. Do visit when you are in Kanchi.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Saranya Devanathan shares, “The three temples from the foothill to the top are the main attractions. From the top, the sunset is supposed to be beautiful. But I reached much after sunset. They all seem to be powerful gods for the locals. I saw a girl offering bananas since Thayamanaver gave a safe delivery. All the temples are colourful. The driving route is in the middle You can go up a few steps and on the driving route, there is a temporary resting place where the elephant entertains and blesses you. There is a yoga mantap where Lord Shiva and Parvathi come and witness the yagna personally. You can go down to Manikka Vinayagar temple carrying your shoes in your hands to reach the Teppakulam.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Atreya Barua says, “Sangam is known as a holy place in Indian scriptures and once you arrive there, you can feel the same in the atmosphere. During the winters, one can also witness the migratory seagulls which are majestic. The serene boat ride through the Yamuna River to the meeting point with the Ganges will give you hope and peace. Just be careful not to indulge with some of the greedy pandits who will perform puja for you and demand unjustified amounts of money. Take an extra pair of clothes with you which you will need after your holy dip in the Ganga river. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Dilip Sai shares, “This is beautiful to visit - and a place amidst Nature. There are four bridges constructed across the Godavari River. They are the Road cum Railway bridge, the Havelock bridge, the Arch bridge and the Gammon bridge. The Road cum Railway bridge is one of the longest bridges in Asia. There are beautiful Ghats across the river through which you travel and you can visit a lot of temples and parks to refresh yourself with the cool breeze of the Godavari. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Nandielath sudhakaran adds, “The main idol in the sanctum sanctorum is a 4-foot long Shiv Ling - standing in front of it makes one lose his human identity and feel the pulsing Purusha inside which makes him feel one with the god in front. This oneness of Advaita is what I felt and I couldn't add any prayer to this pure joy. On the eastern face of the sanctum dwell Shree Parvathy, the epitome of kindness and unfathomable love. The Rahu Kethu pooja is done by the devotee during rahukaalam under temple guidance for which tickets are issued. The temple entry is free and cameras are prohibited.” Read Full Review
