HolidayIQ Reviewer Anen Khiam adds, “Thundering white waterfalls from a high mountain and serpentine roads leading high up to the destination makes you forget everything and it makes it worthwhile the visit. Enjoyed the activities of skiing, snow motorbike, rafting and just going crazy playing around in the snow.

HolidayIQ Reviewer Rahul Chatterjee adds, “Overall a good place to be there and one can enjoy nature and feel the fresh air.

HolidayIQ Reviewer Archi Banerjee adds, “The Bharatpur beach is the seat for all water sports activities. Snorkeling at Bharatpur beach is a must as the water is crystal clear and you can see a whole variety of corals and colourful fishes. Those who fear snorkelling can enjoy the Glass bottom boat ride.

HolidayIQ Reviewer Aditi Nayar shares, “We went snorkelling in the rain, it was an experience to last a lifetime.

HolidayIQ Reviewer JOJI JOSEPH shares, “Situated 1000 ft above sea level on the Chalakudy river and falling from a height of 80 feet, this is one of the largest waterfalls in the state. It's not the fall which attracts us but the scenic combination of forests and little streams surrounding the waterfall are also to be mentioned. We could hear the roaring sound of the water falls from even before we reached there. To have a clear view of the waterfall we have to trek down to the base through the slippery path which is a bit scary. By the time we reached there we got completely wet by the water spraying from the falls but it was a mind-blowing experience.

HolidayIQ Reviewer Yagnadat Reddy adds, “David Scot Trail trek is another must for trekking and nature lovers. It's a 4-hour trek across the Khasi valley bed connecting Mawphlang to Lod Mawphlang. Once you cross the river and climb the valley wall to a height, the vistas open up to beautiful and pristine waterfalls, incredible stone formations and quaint and secluded villages with herdsman and women. The trek is moderately difficult, carry enough food to replenish your energy levels.

HolidayIQ Reviewer Rohit Goswami adds, “Calmness, serenity, peace, coolness, relaxing sound of water streams along with adventure of walking down 3000 steep steps, with calf muscle flickering and signalling a big NO to go further, walking through iron rope bridges, walking through live root bridges, trekking uphill make it up a unique lifetime trip.

HolidayIQ Reviewer Sourav Ray adds, “We, a group of five started our journey at about 4 am from Lachen. If there is any heaven it may look like this. The lake was completely frozen, the cloud was covering its surface, and the sun was shining through the cloud. It was beauty, that can make you speechless. Once in a life, you should visit Gurudongmar lake.”

HolidayIQ Reviewer Jayaraj R shares, “The picture of the water with the snow capped peaks and the morning sunlight offered some relief to the cold weather. We travelled for close to 4-5 hours to reach the spot from a base camp at a lower altitude (3.30 AM). The scenery at the top made us forget all the pain and soak in the sights of the beautiful lake.

6. Dandeli

HolidayIQ Reviewer Parikshith Devang says, “Dandeli was really an amazing place to hangout with friends. In fact, it's more like an adventure staying between a thick forest with a small number of fellow people. Best time to visit is June to September, the main attraction here is the white river rafting along with river Kali. Overall it's a really good destination to visit along with rock climbing, valley crossing, kayaking, swimming in river Kali and much more.

7. Pangong

HolidayIQ Reviewer Saumarjyoti Borah adds, “We took a local camp for a night stay and decided to walk around the lake that evening with our gears. Mostly you will see 2 colours of water in the lake during the sunny day. One blue and other is green. During the night when everyone went to sleep, we came out for night sky photography. If you are lucky you would definitely see a clear sky with all shining stars. Though we don't waste our time sleeping inside the tent after around 45-50 mins the cold wind literally forced us to go inside and close the adventure for that night.

HolidayIQ Reviewer Subodh Bisht shares, “We had done Pangong trip as an excursion but I suggest to other traveller/people who are planning to visit Ladakh to include one night stay as well in camps that would be good to save memories for a lifetime.”

8. Kabini

HolidayIQ Reviewer Venkataramanan G says, “One can opt to go for the jeep safari or the boat safari on the Kabini river. Kabini is famous for leopard sightings. Of course, most of the tourists get to see the elephant, Indian gaur, spotted deer, sambar deer, serpent eagle, changeable hawk eagle, Malabar giant squirrel, langur, Bonnet Macaques, Red Jungle Fowl etc. The lucky ones also get to see the tiger or sloth bear or Dhole, the Indian wild dog.”

HolidayIQ Reviewer Sweekruti Pradhan adds, “The path from the entrance till the check post is nothing less than an adventure (if you happen to be at the right time).

HolidayIQ Reviewer Karandeep Kapany adds, “Numerous resorts dot this river and have a lot of water sports for enjoyment. You can enjoy coracle rides along the river and spot many beautiful birds and animals.”
