The economy of Patna is based on the local service industry. The Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain pilgrim centres of Vaishali, Rajgir, Nalanda, Bodhgaya, and Pawapuri are nearby and Patna is also a sacred city for Sikhs. HolidayIQ reviewers Shikha Sharma says "It's a small town around 70 Kms away from Delhi, but it's historical significance is way too great. It's known as a city of Martyr Man gal Pandey. It has a museum which has a pillar of Ashoka. In the museum artifacts related to freedom fighters are also kept. It has a temple called Kalipaltan in which a shiv ling of Lord Shiva is there, which is believed to be established on its own. Apart from that Sardhana Church is there, but it's an excursion at a distance of 30 Kms away from main city. Then a place well mentioned in Mahabharata is there, the Hastinapur. Again it's away from city by around 20 Kms."

HolidayIQ reviewer Grace paul Ezra says "You can't visit Kolkata without paying homage to two of the city's former residents. Mother Teresa and RabindraNath Tagore.
To really see, smell, hear and feel Kolkata, you need to hit the streets either on a walking tour. Kolkata's street life is as photogenic as it gets, with footpath barbers, chai wallahs and colourful swirling saris. A popular Kolkatan street food is the "kathi" roll: the curry of your choice wrapped in paratha, a type of flatbread. And Bengalis love sweets such as "rasogolla" "sandesh"
."
