Located on the banks of the gorgeous Parvati River, Kasol serves as a perfect base for trekkers.

Sumeet Soni: It's not a place for sightseeing. It’s a town to stay and experience. You can meet people from around the world who indulge in Shiva’s way of living. Trek along the boulevards and breathe fresh air. Sit along the banks of River Parvati and listen to people’s tale and stories.

Perched on the right bank of the roaring Parvati River, Manikaran Sahib is a huge Gurudwara with a hot spring on the highest point.

Himanshu Verma: Manikaran Sahib is just 5 km away from Kasol. This place is easily approachable & we can feel the nature. If you feel that you want to do trekking, you can go to Kheer Ganga which is near to Manikaran.

Sleep the night at Hotel Shivalik, Manikaran.

Rituparna Sen: Tosh is a 10-km trek or road route from Manikaran. It is a secret weekend getaway from Delhi but thronged by Israelis and foreigners. It is a perfect place to travel alone. To describe the place it is mountains, snow and greenery with wooden cottages, and warmth of the villagers of Tosh.

Aneesh Sasi:  Royal Palace Hotel, Manikaranrom is 2km from Kasol  on manikaran road.Great food and the river Parvati just adjacent. View from balcony is too good.

Trek to Kheer Ganga is a nine kilometer, four hour steep climb on narrow trails.

Amit:  The trek to kheerganga is very exciting and adventurous. It was a two days trek. After reaching the top the feeling was really amazing. There is a hot water spring at the top was beautiful.

Hungry? Do try Turquoise Kasol and The Evergreen Street side cafes for the excellent chicken sipoodim (barbecue), home-made tofu dishes and good Israeli specials. For great baked goods try Moon Dance Café & German Bakery.
