The Jigme Dorji National Park is the second largest national park of Bhutan and is a fantastic place to know about the Himalayan ecosystem, apart from the obviously pleasant weather and captivating views. About 6000 people live here and practice animal husbandry and subsistence agriculture. 

Day 2. The munificent life of Haa valley

LIfe in Haa valley is elegant, self-sufficient and abides by the principles of bare necessities. The name 'Haa' pertains to the hidden nature of the place. It has the famous Torsa Strict Nature Reserve which has no human inhabitants at all.

Day 3. The humble colours of Paro

Soon after the main street in paro was painted in 1985, a number of humble restaurants and wooden shops mushroomed into the calm ambience of this place. If you like your peace and exploring cultures, Paro is the place for you. Go for a casual stroll around the city and see what we're talking about.  

Day 4. The flourishing Thimphu

Predominently known for its prominent Buddhist sites and as the capital of Bhutan, Thimpu remains a cross between modern lifestyle and persistent nostalgia. The Tashichho Dzong with its gold-leaf roofs is a must visit when here. While you're at it, don't forget to try some belly-pleasing Bhutanese food in Thimphu.

Day 5. The magical Taktsang Gompa

Situated in the verdant valley of Paro, clinging to the cliffside lies the gorgeous Tiger's Nest or the Taktsang Palphug Monastery. Immensly significant in Buddhist culture this monastry remains hidden beneath a fickle sheath of clouds at all times, making for a view too good to exist.
