HolidayIQ Reviewer Lionel Fernandes adds, “Clean and calm lake; Yes it is worth a visit and to just relax in a houseboat and fishing. Early morning the lake is calm. A lot of wild birds of different species can be seen around. Do not stay overnight as the prices are high and not worth it. Fishing on the lake is one of the best experience here.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Kavita Sahgal adds, “Soulful Serenity; We started from our resort (Cherrapunjee Holiday resort) early in the morning to this place. After walking 5 km through dense forest, beautiful villages and clean roads, we reached the point from where the stairway to Double Decker Bridge starts. ...Lost in the beautiful surrounding, I ignored the fact that I had to climb down 2500 odd stairs to reach any closer to our destination....The most beautiful part of the journey was the waterfall over which the Double-Decker bridge exists. Few village kids were fishing in the turquoise water and beyond two of us there were no other tourist. We spent our time fishing there. We also spent hours swimming in the water till more people started pouring in. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Purna adds “Decent Beach, relatively clean; the best time to visit is during evening as the sunset view is quite beautiful here. The beach is clean and suitable for bathing. One can enjoy the fishermen displaying their catch during fishing in their nets. We can also try our hands on fishing in the nearby water bodies. Local street foods are also available here making the beach an ideal getaway. Watching the sky changing its colours during sunset is a treat to watch. The beach though okay in cleanliness could be much improved with proper attention from the municipalityRead Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Anu Monisha adds, “Nice spot but crowded during vacation. We decided to go to Hogenakkal Falls on a summer...The sightseeing was crowded and bit messy as-well, the place was filled with people and fishes. There were vendors and sellers of fishes and the ingredients to cook. To the surprise people who stay there had vessels to cook for the visitors. The visitors will purchase the groceries and stuff for the cooking and give it to those people and they will cook the items we ask for like rice, rasam, fish fry and fish curry, but need to pay them.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Siva Ram says, “Superb Waterfalls; I visited Talakona Waterfalls but if you compare with Hogenakkal Waterfalls, Hogenakkal Waterfalls are superb. Most of the films are shot here. I think it is the best place to visit. And one more thing about the food, you can find fishes like that. If you want boating you can do that also.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Arnab Dhar shares, “Falling angels! Well, that's how an unplanned trip ends, full of fun and excitement!! This time it was this beautiful waterfall sometimes referred to as the "Niagara of India". The river rafting is the best part where you can experience the twist and turns of river Kaveri. I went off beat season to avoid the crowd, best place to experience waterfall from a top view. A lot of locals offer you massages (was a bit annoying though), fishes well spiced to feed off your trailing stomach!! Fishing experience is definitely the best here. If you are a biker I would suggest you take a detour of this place on your beast. What else do you need??Read Full Review

The name is very popular among its citizens, however, the spot is not very much popular... The best part about this spot is that it is a getaway in itself and you can enjoy fishing here. Outside its campus, there is a big market for vegetables and fishes.” Read Full Review
