HolidayIQ Reviewer Rizwanuddin Rafiq says, “Calangute Beach is situated at a distance of about four and a half kilometres from Candolim Beach. This is the most developed beach of North Goa and considered as the queen of the beaches. Palm trees beautify its shores and its inherent beauty attracts a lot of visitors. Besides bathing in the sea, one may enjoy the thrilling water sports. Close by the beach at Dolphin Circle, the Beautiful St. Alex Church is situated, with its beautiful towers and spectacular domes and interiors decorated with an ornate altar. It's a major tourist spot with restaurants and hotels - including the Calangute Residency, a significant address as it is a unit of the Goa Tourism Development Corporation. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Nishant Kalra shares, “We initially thought we will visit it in the evening during the Light and Sound show but some locals advised us to visit it once in morning too as it will help us understand the show better. It was at a walking distance from water sports Park. Cellular Jail is also known as Kala Pani (Black Water). It was a prison used by British to exile political prisoners. Many freedom fighters such as Veer Savarkar and Batukeshwar Dutt were imprisoned here during our freedom movement. One will get to know about the inhuman treatment done to jail inmates as you walk along the jail.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Shrikant Vaidya says, “This is the best beach in the Island for water sports. The clear waters enable snorkelling and scuba to a greater extent than at any other beaches. Also the boatmen are very friendly and helpful. Do remember being generous to them. There are 2 ways of reaching the beach. First and the most widely followed is from the Jetty, 20 minutes by boat. And the second is trekking. While on your way to Radhanagar Beach, you will find a board to your right saying Elephant Beach 1. 8 km. This way is for the adventure lovers but be careful for the soil here may be muddy. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer JOJI JOSEPH shares, “I was just sitting and watching four or five people putting in all their efforts at pulling up the Chinese nets to see how much fish they have caught, collect the fish, and transfer it to a tub and without wasting time, release the ropes tied to the net for the next catch. They are not bothered even if the catch is meagre and it looked to me that they hoped the next time they pull up the net, they might get a plentiful catch. I have seen a few Chinese fishing nets in other parts of Kochi lake coasts before but at Fort Kochi, I spent only a few hours watching it. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Rizwanuddin Rafiq shares, “Colva Beach is very popular among the tourists, due to its white powder type sand and various water sports, all paid. You can enjoy the wave riding on wave rider scooters and paragliding. Colva is situated in Salcete village, just 5 km away from Madgaon. It is lined up with coconut and palm trees. The waves are really playing their games at the shore, and I participated, as I liked the high and rough waves a lot. Safety arrangements are good - every 100 yards, lifeguards are placed to monitor everyone and according to the behaviour of waves, safe zones are marked by the flags.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Rizwanuddin Rafiq adds, “Mandrem is, for many, the best-kept mystery on the North Goan coast just 20 km from Anjuna Bardez. As a destination, here you may be relaxed. It provides an opportunity to transform, and you'll find ever-changing options for spiritually slanted exercises and enlightenment along its sands. Most accommodations, dining and alternative therapy options are along the narrow beach-access road or on the sparkling sands themselves. You just have to walk down through a beautiful park developed by the forest department. This is very popular among the foreign tourists; safety remains the priority of the Goan Tourism, with continuous monitoring by lifeguards. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Gomathi Iyer shares, “It is a very clean beach right in the heart of Panjim Goa. Well not heart really, more at the right end of Panjim. It is very clean and tourists can easily access this beach. On the way to the beach, you see the Mandovi River all through towards the right when you are going from Panjim. It is a beautiful scene. You see the casino royal ship where the rich come to lose their money. Then a few meters on the way to the beach You have lovely restaurants serving authentic Goan fish curry and the local wine, Fenny. ” Read Full Review
