1. Terekhol Fort, Arambol

Built by the ruler of Sawantwadi, Maharaja Sawant Bhosale, the fort is situated on the northern bank of the estuary of the Terekhol River. It was captured by the portuguese in 1746 and rebuilt along with the Church in Arambol in 1825. It still stands strong and remains one of the most rustic sightseeing places in India.
