HolidayIQ reviewer Anuj says, "The Fort is located just 90 km (max 2 hrs) from Gurgaon which is indeed a grandeur structure backed by excellent hospitality. The food is good, but very expensive. If you are staying in the Fort then its difficult to eat anywhere else given nearby hotels are slightly far from the fort. The place has nice spa to try! Loved the swimming pool, especially the view in the night. One must definitely explore the step well, especially early in the morning, which is half a km walk from the fort. " Read More Here

HolidayIQ reviewer Mrinalini says, "A truly beautiful property. Stunning rooms. Try and get the ones on the upper floors, they're worth the climb (and great for your legs). The heated pool is really excellent draw for winter weekends and evenings are utterly gorgeous with dipping yellow lights glowing like fireflies." Read More Here

HolidayIQ reviewer Shubham says, "The hotel is in a great location, minutes away from the bustling bars and eaters of Park Street. I did not book a high-end deluxe room but it still oozed class and comfort. The service, from check-in through housekeeping to check-out, was simply the best I have experienced (and I have stayed at a lot of hotels in different countries! ). The politeness of the staff is only matched by their efficiency of service. The restaurant was small but the service was superb and the food, particularly the Bengali cuisine was of top quality. Breakfast was an excellent mix of western and Indian/Bengali favorites." Read More Here

HolidayIQ reviewer Gaurav says, "The entrance to the palace is grand. The staircase leads us to the entrance. The Taj group took several years to refurbish the hotel and tried to use as much of the original materials as possible. They have done an incredible job. We met the bodyguard of the Nizam and he agreed to give us a personal tour of the hotel and all the different rooms. The original paintings, furniture, wood, paints have been maintained. HolidayIQ Traveller Saurav Agarwal shares, "Falaknuma is a destination in itself. The hotel is located 2000 ft above the city. The hotel has great amenities with the two restaurants churning excellent food. Prefer staying on the eastern garden side so that you have privacy. Try out each and every dish on the menu in Ada. It’s worth it.”

HolidayIQ reviewer Priya says, "Ahilya Fort is one of the most romantic hotels one has visited. Its location is amazing, on the banks of the narmada. The ghats and its temples resounding with chants, the sun rise and sun setting on the mighty river is mesmerising. The hotel itself has a very lived in, warm feel with the staff being mostly locals. The head of the staff is a local lady who has been with the family for years. The food is fresh and much is sourced from their own kitchen gardens in the fort. The management has worked hard to retain the character of the place with its little inhouse temples, and the firelamps which light up the place in the night. The perfect place for lovers of heritage looking for peace and serenity." Read More here

HolidayIQ reviewer Rashmi says, "My husband and I have visited this place 3-4 times over the last 4 years of our marriage. This itself says a lot about how much we are in love with this place. I have not been able to find a place like Ahilya fort where I think I would love to visit again and again. The serenity, peace and tranquility of the narmada, the divine experience of seeing small oil lamps floating in the narmada every evening, the ringing of the temple bells from a far early morning, sounds of conch shells blowing, having your delicious breakfast served so beautifully while you look at the beautiful ghats, everything there transports you to a different time and age." HolidayIQ reviewer Vinayak Says, "it is definitely a privilege to stay and experience a palace stay in this age and times. However, it left us a tad disappointing on the condition of the hotel. It definitely can be better maintained. The hassle free check-in process and the free upgrade was well appreciated. The rooms were very spacious and was worth every rupee spent. Looks like hot water is not 24 x 7. Had some trouble in the morning. Fortunately we were not in a great hurry and did not bother us a lot. But something to take care of. The restaurant decor and food was average. Only few of the breakfast items were good. Overall the experience of staying at the palace hotel can be enhanced to go with the legacy. Would surely recommend others to stay at this place if they get an opportunity." Read More Here
