Surrounding cities at the foot of the mountain Reshikesh and Haridwar. The hotel can arrange rafting boat on a mountain river Ganges. Just in these cities there are schools of yoga and various ashrams, which can be visited. The hotel area is quite large. You can move around in car, as a golf course. The hotel is situated a top a mountain and there is full of greenery, like the most real wildlife, looks out the window, and then go to the peacocks and monkeys in the trees sit, a lot of birds. There is an outdoor swimming pool, in winter it is heated. It can be used after a sauna. The spa area includes saunas, a hot tub and massages. Rooms are nice with balcony overlooking the beautiful garden. The room has one bathroom, and shower with a huge window looking over the garden. The room had a television, mini bar and all the rest. Service in the hotel is simply amazing, rooms are cleaned multiple times, Towels also changed. The staff is very friendly and tried to please in every way. Food just exceeded all our expectations. The hotel has a gym, golf ground, billiards. Also the hotel offers a descent on a mountain river and cycling."

2. Kadavu Resort, Calicut

Kadavu Resort, Calicutsource:

HolidayIQ Traveller Vinod D from Mumbai shares, “Kadavu is the for sure one of the best hotels in kerala. I enjoyed the rains there during the month of july. The food was amazing. The staff was friendly and service was good. The rooms were old fashioned though. Amazing views of the river from the hotel was there. You can enjoy the trip on a boat down the river if you want. You can even enjoy by the pool. And at night the hotel looks magnificent with all the olden style lightings. Nice place to enjoy with family and friends on a pleasure trip.”

3. Turtle Bay Beach Resort, Maravanthe

Turtle Bay Beach Resort, Maravanthesource:

HolidayIQ Traveller Abinash Nayak from Bangalore shares, “The best thing about this resort is its location, located outside of Udupi on the way to Murudeshwar. It has a private beach of its own which provides you very good view and time of your own. The best time is however during the sunset when you get a chance to see the spectacular sunset. The resort has very good staff & food. But however the cost is a bit on the higher side. Saint mary Island is just 50 km from here another place a must to visit if you are going to Udupi.”

The place is beautiful with a stream in the middle of the property. We enjoyed playing games in the morning and took a trek to the tea estate. The swimming pool is the highlight of this place. The atmosphere was very relaxed and warm. Excellent place to relax and get refreshed amidst nature. We visited the resort during October and it was raining for some part of the day but we still enjoyed the pool and playing in the stream.”

7. The Hidden Village, Shahpur, Maharashtra

The Hidden Village, Shahpur, Maharashtrasource:

HolidayIQ Traveller Deeps Salian shares, "As the name stays its truly a hidden village with a welcome entrance of bamboo trees. The whole ambience is that of a proper village with cow dung smeared floor in the dining area, lots of hens, duck and rabbits roaming around. The food too is of typical local style very tasty and yummy. There is also a swimming pool with water from the nearby lake which was the best part of this place as we spent a lot of time playing in water in the hot summer. Apart from this there is a small stream of water running across a small bridge under which we can get a fish pedicure for free. Coming to the rooms which look like normal village rooms but inside they are furnished with all the modern equipments like AC, TV, fridge etc which makes it a pleasant stay. All in all I like to say it was a welcome change for me and my family away from the busy city life."

The cool breeze and long walk around the Sea Shore, almost virgin Sea line was amazing during early Morning and Evening. No other recreational element in Gopalpur. We were little disappointed to find some low standard gift items in and around. The hotel and the environment is absolutely great for a 2-3 night stay."
