The history of Sunderbans can be traced back to the 200 to 300 AD. A ruin of a city that was once built by Chand Sadagar, a rich and powerful Indian merchant, has been found in the Baghmara Forest Block. Talk to the locals there. The evidence of the fact can be traced from the ruins at Netidhopani and other places scattered all over Sundarbans

The Spotted Deer Rehabilitation Centre is not often frequented by travellers and is not known much. It's a hidden gem of Bengal which is mesmerising. You can see antelopes frolicking around peacefully. Some are camera shy but some a bold enough to come and pose for you, provided they know you won't harm them.
