I Travelled to Rishikesh for 5 Days and This is What I Experienced

Arrive at Rishikesh, visit the Laxman Jhula, Shivani tells HolidayIQ: "A great feeling crossing the Laxman Jhula above flowing Ganges and rafting people in sight." Make your way to the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan by 6.30 pm, Amit says,:"This place is to be visited in the early dusk to get the amazing view of the aarti. You find peace"

The mighty Ganges, at a point 30 km Rishikesh offers some of the most challenging rapids in the country ranging from class 1 to 5 and one of the longest course of about 27 km. Radhu Nair shares, Rishikesh is one of the most preferred adventure spot in India. River rafting and camping on the banks of Ganga is simply a mind-blowing experience.”

A 150 km drive away from Rishikesh, brings you to pristine Corbett, a wild haven of endangered species. Manish tells HolidayIQ, "Corbett is a serene place for wildlife adventures. You can start your day with gypsy safari or elephant safari to sight a range of wildlife. DO visit the Girija temple, museum, Corbett fall and ultimately River Kosi."

Spend another day exploring Corbett take a couple of safaris and the lucky will spot a tiger. Jyoti shares, "This has now been reserved for tigers, which are doing very well here.Daily safaris go into the forest, especially from Ramnagar and other surrounding towns, to watch tigers in their own kingdom." Head back to Rishikesh after Corbett.

Vijay says: “Bungee jumping, trekking and camping near Ganga are really amazing things to do in Rishikesh,” to which Ashish adds, “Rishikesh is famous for white water rafting in Ganges, camping in the riverside, bungee jumping and water sports. For bungee jumping, do the bookings advance.” Leave with a bag, full of memories.
