Beaches? Check. Scrumptious food? Check. Tourist friendly? Check! Tarkarli is relatively undiscovered and less crowded than popular beach spots like Goa.

Niharika Modi on her stay at MTDC Holiday Resort, "I am completely in love with this place. Located on the shore of Arabian ocean, the views are picturesque and breathtaking. Rooms are averagely maintained but food is good. You can watch the sunset while watching your kids play. A good place to unwind yourself."

So what are the secrets of the Arabian ocean?

2. Lakshadweep Islands will make you forget Seychelles

And you thought India doesn’t have white sandy beaches or azure blue waters coupled with rich marine life! Stay away from cookie cutter packages and you will not regret not going on an international holiday.

Subhro Kumar Mukhopadhyay: Great experience when we first saw the emerald coral island from the sky floating amid copper blue lagoon before landing in a secluded airstrip. A speedboat took us to Kadmat, another 14km long coral island in Arabian sea. Somersaults of fun-loving dolphins, fast gliding of flying fish and relaxed swim of reef turtles were amazing sights. Kadmat Beach Resort provided us excellent AC accommodation and good food alongside hoards of beach activities and SRA-sports.

No touts trying to sell balloons or souvenirs and gorgeous beaches all to yourself. Havelock Island with its beach shacks, fresh seafood, world-class snorkeling and diving opportunities is a must-visit.

Ankit stayed at the Symphony Palm Beach Resort: Its a best hotel in Havelock, we were in a sea facing room. Rooms were properly cleaned, hotel has a good restaurant and bar within the campus. The quality of food was good. Hotel has got a personal clean beach. Best hotel to stay in Havelock.

It's time for a break.

Like in Dubai, visit Jaisalmer to romance with the desert. Camp under the stars, enjoy a camel ride or desert biking in the Thar Desert. And yes, it is all worth it!

Parveen Gupta on her stay at Registhan Guest House, "It was beyond expectation and had a good time there for two days camel ride in the evening to sun set view, some folk songs, dance and simple and good dinner. Jeep safari in the morning for sun rise point. Good Swiss tent with modern facilities."
