Seclude yourself from the world at the Dal lake in Srinagar. Book a Houseboat and relax amidst the gorgeous mountains of Kashmir with yummy food and cozy beds! Moonvalley House Boat is voted the best for giving you a perfect Houseboat experience by travellers in India.

Neha Batra shares her experience, "We were group of 5 people and visited Srinagar in September. But I was excited and nervous simultaneously about our stay in the houseboat because I was the one who did all the arrangements and I had heard mixed reviews about houseboat. From outside; I found the houseboat to be just 'ok' but the time we stepped in... We were in different zone. Just beautiful and cozy. Nicely decorated, well furnished. We booked 01 triple room and 01 double room for me and my husband but Mr. Manager surprised us by upgrading it to Honeymoon Suite. It was so spacious, clean, romantic. Shikara ride was also nice. In short; overall it was an awesome experience."

2. India's Favourite Pilgrimage Destination - Vaishno Devi

One of the most visited pilgrimages in the world, this place of worship is beautiful. Situated amidst the landscapes of Jammu, Vaishno Devi attracts millions of travellers every year from all across the globe.

Ravi Agarwal describes, "The trek uphill, adjoining scenery, devout atmosphere, periodic halts. Tumult of latent and evident desires stills and refines. Gross, inconsequential desires fall off the rising altitudes, ascending steps of a sincere pilgrim. When pilgrim reaches the hill top, and washes off the sweat and grime of arduous ascent; only the kernel of desires survives; rest is washed away. Chants of Jai Mata Di resonate the air, and a sincere pilgrim joins the party, contributes his bit. Desires take a positive mould. Long queues to enter inside test a pilgrim's stamina and faith. Some pilgrims lose their devout state of mind, some carry it through chaos and discomfort. Those who make it - carry their devout state of mind through inner fatigue and external noise - have their levels of awareness heightened."

Kashmir feels like three different states altogether! Jammu is full of green mountains, Kashmir is filled with colourful daises and Ladakh-Leh is a cold desert with dramatic landscapes. Once you visit Kashmir, you will surely extend your stay. Go trekking to the most gorgeous lakes in India or bow your head to Gods at Vaishno Devi, plan your itinerary wisely.

Darshan Kumar Vaid explains, "J&K state has everything for every age group. If you have a love for mountains, yeah like the Alps one, and wanted to experience snowfall with big meadows(Gulmarg), then you have parked your car at the right place.
If you are a spiritual types(Jammu), then Vaishno Devi is a must visit place for you, Plus there's a small hill station(PatniTop) which is near to it, so you get a pilgrimage and a small weekend get away with less travel and more privacy.
But as they say, If there's heaven, its here. Places to visit can be endless but mainly Dal lake (boulevard road), Shankracharya, Chashma shahi, Pehalgam, Shalimar and Gulmarg are few not be missed places."
