Mani Ratnam is the biggest director in south India and one of the most respected directors in all of India. Mani has dealt with a wide variety of topics, from the classic Indian love story to political thrillers. Another thing unique about Mani Ratnam's films are the exquisite locations he chooses to portray his characters and the story line. Kerala, her landscapes, her people and her culture have always been dear to Mani Ratnam, this is why he has chosen Kerala repeatedly to shoot his most iconic shots!
